Story
Vala is a super adorable girl who loves attention and all people! She lives for belly rubs and being petted and has the most expressive ears and smiley face we’ve ever seen on a dog! Vala was from a shelter about a year and a half ago, and was working on being trained to be a service dog but ran into some trouble with the neighbor’s goats and needs to be rehomed somewhere away from livestock. She would make a great family pet for people who love a dog who likes lots of attention! She has been trained to walk on a leash and not pull as well as sit, stay, waiting to go out till you tell her etc. However, she is smart and a little sassy so you do have to reinforce training with treats!

Story
If your 2026 goal is to be more active, Paddy could be your perfect adventure sidekick. Paddy loves water: streams, lakes, rivers, water hoses. Full of personality and very curious, she is always up for a hike or a walk, then eagerly cuddles and soaks all your attention. She has striking blue eyes and a gorgeous coat, weighs 38 pounds and stands 19 inches at the shoulder. Paddy is a favorite with staff at doggie day care and plays well with the littles. She would do really well as an only dog, or with a confident dog. She is still a young, active dog and needs exercise. She may even be a good candidate for agility classes. She is crate trained, house trained, spayed, microchipped, and UTD on shots. From her DNA test results she is Australian shepherd mix, Border Collie, and Husky. She was born December 7, 2023. Located in foster home in Boise Idaho, transport is provided to approved home within the Pacific northwest. Email journeyhomerescue@outlook.com for Paddy!

Story
✨ Meet Pixie ✨ Pixie is a 3-year-old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix with a heart that beats just for her person. If you’ve ever dreamed of having a loyal shadow by your side, Pixie is ready to make that dream come true. This sweet girl is the definition of a “velcro dog.” She’ll happily follow you from room to room and has the cutest habit of gently hugging your legs just to remind you she’s there. Pixie thrives on connection and would love a home where she can be close to her person as much as possible. She walks beautifully on leash, making her a perfect companion for peaceful strolls. While she does well around other dogs, she prefers to keep to herself and doesn’t usually initiate play—she’s much more interested in bonding with her human. Pixie is wonderfully well-mannered in the home. She is fully potty trained, does not get on furniture, and already knows “sit,” “lay down,” and “center.” She’s the kind of dog who settles in quickly and just wants to be near you, quietly soaking up love. 💛 Pixie’s Perfect Home: Someone looking for a deeply loyal, affectionate companion A calmer home where she can relax and feel secure A person who appreciates a dog that wants to be by their side If you’re searching for a gentle, devoted best friend who will love you endlessly and stick by your side through it all… Pixie is waiting for you.

Story
Meet Zoe! 🐾 Zoe is a 5-month-old, 20 lb fluffy puppy with a gentle and thoughtful personality. She’s a bit shy at first and prefers to observe the world around her before jumping in—but once she feels safe, her sweet and playful side really shines. Zoe is an independent little lady who enjoys doing her own thing, but she also loves cozy cuddle time on the couch (on her terms, of course!). As she continues to grow, she’s sure to become a deeply loyal and loving companion. She would do especially well in a home with a calm, confident older dog who can help show her that the world isn’t so scary. Zoe is currently learning to walk on a leash and is already potty trained—such a smart girl! With a little patience and a lot of love, Zoe will blossom into an incredible best friend. 💛 Location: Cashmere, WA (in a foster home) Apply to Adopt: https://www.cognitoforms.com/Okandogs1/DogAdoptionApplication

Story
Meet Miley! Miley is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd/Husky mix with stunning blue eyes and a heart full of love. She’s silly, goofy, affectionate, and full of fun! This smart girl wants nothing more than to please her people, though she’s a bit cat-like—she loves attention, but on her own terms. Every morning, she’ll crawl right into your lap and happily demand tummy rubs! Miley is house-trained and spends all her time indoors, only going outside to the deck for potty breaks. She plays hard, but can settle nicely once she’s had her fun. She gets along well with other dogs and, with a little training and patience, could adjust to life with cats. Miley is looking for a home where she can run, play ball, and enjoy walks or hikes with her family. Her current family loves her dearly but realized that with two new businesses and a new baby, they can’t give her the time and attention she deserves. If you’re ready for a smart, loving, and playful companion, Miley is waiting for you! 👉 Apply to Adopt: https://www.cognitoforms.com/Okandogs1/DogAdoptionApplication

Story
Meet Flynn! 🐾 Breed: Australian Shepherd / Border Collie / American Eskimo mix 🐾 Age: 4 years old 🐾 Weight: 40 lbs 🐾 Good with: Kids, dogs, and cats 🐾 Training: Crate trained, highly trainable, eager to please Flynn is a sweet, affectionate, and intelligent dog looking for a forever home that can give him the time and attention he deserves. He loves to play, receive belly rubs, and learn new commands—he picks up on training quickly and thrives when mentally stimulated. For the first two years after his initial adoption, Flynn was housebroken and enjoyed living as part of the family with kids, cats, and another dog. After a move to a home with limited indoor space for the dogs, Flynn has spent more time outside and will need some reintroduction to consistent house training. A dedicated owner could easily help him adjust to a full indoor routine again. Flynn is an incredibly smart dog with a big heart and he especially loves children. He would thrive in a home where he can join family activities, go on walks or adventures, and be truly part of the daily routine, while burning off his mental and physical energy. If you’re looking for a loyal, trainable, and loving companion who just needs a bit of time and attention to shine, Flynn could be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️ If you’re interested in giving Flynn a home where he can thrive, please reach out! Story
Nova is a 4 year old Pure Breed border collie. Nova is the sweetest pup who loves a great adventure but also loves to just go on a walk. She completed puppy preschool and is very well house trained. She sleeps in a kennel at night and is easily direct-able. Nova is so good with our 1 year old, but we are broken hearted that we cannot keep her entertained or happy now that our time has shifted to the little one. She has started acting out at home and I cannot be happy with myself letting her be miserable in our home. I want her to be able to be a dog and enjoy herself. She deserves an active household or a place with lots of room to run, and it just isn’t with us anymore. I would love to find someone who would keep Nova and Sophie together if possible, but it’s understandable if it’s not possible.
