Story
Peanut, born 8/3/23, is a Heeler mix pup. This sweet boy came to us from our local shelter as they are a bit overcrowded and puppies are tough to care for in the shelter environment. In his foster home, Peanut will be working on house training, crate training and basic puppy obedience. He is young, so he seems to do well with just about everyone. Being that his breed notoriously loves to play, an active home with a fenced in yard would be ideal! He does well with other dogs and likes to be with his people. He is a very sweet pup & we are excited for his next steps! Peanut's adoption fee is $450.00 which includes his neuter, vaccines (including DHLPPC, Kennel Cough, Lyme disease, Rabies), heartworm/lyme testing (negative), and Microchipping with lifetime registration. If you want to meet Peanut with hopes to make him part of your family, be sure to FIRST apply on our website for approval: https://www.theroadhomeanimalproject.org/companion-adoption-form-pdf.html***100% of adoption fees go back to the animals and help provide for medical care for our rescues that need specialized medical care and surgeries.*Note: Ideally, ALL members of the family (canine and human alike) should be present for any meet and greet unless otherwise specified/discussed.Please remember that we are a board of entirely volunteers that have full time jobs as well as our rescue passion. Story
My name is Kelsey. I was rescued from the euthanasia list from a high kill shelter in Texas. I had an adopter, but she got sick and could no longer take me. I had a nice lady step up to foster me while I search for my forever home. I'm on the smaller side between 30-35lbs but am strong and muscular for my size. I want to be friends with the resident dogs and most like me, but one doesn't, so I'm looking for a home where everyone will like me. I'm not sure about cats though as I do not have any cats in my foster home. I'm a good girl and I really get attached to my human. I do get a little bit jealous, but easily corrected. I do not like to share my bones, treats, or toys...I prefer to have those in my kennel by myself. I do like to play bite, but if i can too rougu, I'm easily corrected. I'm housetrained and very food motivated and have been learning sit and manners in my foster home...as I get excited and like to jump. If you feel like I might be a good fit, I'd love to meet you.

Story
Meet "Cash". He is a 6 year old Australian Cattle dog. He came to the shelter of no fault of his own and has acclimated well. Cash has a medium energy drive. He prefers humans over other canines, being the only dog in the family would best benefit him.. Also no children under 10.

Story
Are you in search of a one-of-a-kind serial kisser? Well, look no further, because I, Mandy, am the dog you've been waiting for! I come with a mix of awesomeness and a charming personality that's sure to steal your heart. I can be delightfully laid-back, enjoying those calm moments, or I can transform into a bouncing ball of joy when the mood strikes. Walks and jogs? Count me in, especially if you're by my side. But here's the thing-I love playing with other dogs so much that I often choose their company over toys. Let's talk sunbathing. If your couch has that perfect spot for catching rays, you can bet I'll be there, soaking it all in. I'm a big fan of lounging, whether it's under tables, during dinner time, while you're working at your desk, or even when you're cuddled up in bed. I'm all about being close to my people, and if you choose to adopt me, I'll be all about you! I'm a sociable girl, getting along well with other dogs and kids (especially with submissive/non-dominant dogs). My crate training and potty training with a doggy door are top-notch. I'm a pro at commands like going to my crate and sitting patiently. Now, about my diet-here's the deal: I have EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency), which means my pancreas doesn't produce the enzymes I need to digest food properly. Thanks to some attentive rescuers and veterinary care, we've got it all figured out. I'll need a specific diet and a pancreatic enzyme replacement supplement to keep me feeling great. Think of it as a special appetizer and entree at every meal. EPI won't slow me down, and I'm ready to trade serial kisses for a loving forever home day in and day out. So, how about it? Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Mac is a sweet boy who knows what he wants! He does love to chase and play with animals smaller than him. Due to this we suggest that he does not go home to a family that has cats or things like chickens. Squirrels watch out! This little guy can move! Mac is a ham, you can't see it in his pictures but he LOVES attention :) He is good with other dogs and happy to be a friend or he could be an only dog and BASK in the undivided attention :) He is a lazy boy and does enjoy snoozing and spending time on the couch napping but at the same time can have his moments where he is ready to go. He is housebroken and does just fine in a crate! If he sounds like the boy for you then don't wait! Have you ever heard the saying, "don't get your Sox in a bundle??" What does that mean?? How can I keep the pair together if they are not attached in a bundle together?? People are SO WEIRD!! Anyhoo. yes you guessed it, my name is Sox and I am a handsome bloke! I love love my people, I play play with friends, I love love to cuddle (sometimes), when I am tired out from playing playing! I was found in the heat of the summer, scared and skinny and lonely and hurt! My foster parents have been ALMOST like having a real home- except it is not..... I am READY for my furever family- cause you see, I am healthy and happy now and have no more hurting in my leg.... I had an old elbow injury that just kept getting worse and worse and finally the dogtor and my foster family decided to amputate it- WHEEEWWW LIFE IS GOOD NOW! I don't even miss it :) So, I am a TRIPOD, and of course, that makes me MORE SPECIAL!
