Story
Buddy is an amazing dog. He craves human interaction and is super active. He loves balls and freebies and will play fetch as long as you want. He's probably the smartest dog I ever had, he will pick up any training instantly, he currently knows: sit, stay, lay down, high five, fist bump, stand, turn, leave it, drop it, and gentle. However, he does not do well around other pets, he really needs a home that it's him and his owners. He does become reactive when in the presence of another dog, he has never been around a cat but I would not recommend. He does tend to ignore chickens quite well though. He is a goofball and will be an amazing pet once he has his own place - right now he shares a home with two other dogs and he is stressed by it.

Story
My name is Kelsey. I was rescued from the euthanasia list from a high kill shelter in Texas. I had an adopter, but she got sick and could no longer take me. I had a nice lady step up to foster me while I search for my forever home. I'm on the smaller side between 30-35lbs but am strong and muscular for my size. I want to be friends with the resident dogs and most like me, but one doesn't, so I'm looking for a home where everyone will like me. I'm not sure about cats though as I do not have any cats in my foster home. I'm a good girl and I really get attached to my human. I do get a little bit jealous, but easily corrected. I do not like to share my bones, treats, or toys...I prefer to have those in my kennel by myself. I do like to play bite, but if i can too rougu, I'm easily corrected. I'm housetrained and very food motivated and have been learning sit and manners in my foster home...as I get excited and like to jump. If you feel like I might be a good fit, I'd love to meet you.

VOLUNTEERS : We need transport drivers who can do legs between WV and New England! Driver Application: http://form.jotform.us/form/50214993744156 More Info: https://groups.io/org/groupsio/ICanDrive   Please submit an adoption application if you would like to adopt me! http://form.jotform.us/form/51725688240156 Contact us: https://secure.jotform.us/form/51797057247162 Tootsie, a female, was born October 31, 2023. She came to ARF with her brother Quincy, surrendered by a good Samaritan who kept them safe until there was room for them. Their mother was a red heeler and daddy a lab/hound mix, Tootsie weighed in at 23 pounds on 2/27/24 and 29 pounds on 3/26/24, so she's growing well. Tootsie is chocolate with dappled tan that makes her look like she's been playing in the mud.. As she gets older, her fur is changing and the tan color is spreading. When the pups first came, Tootsie was the food hog, and she still likes to eat but has realized that more food will come. She also is also more vocal. She sometimes barks at her own shadow, which is fun to watch. Because she is so vocal, she would not be a good apartment dweller. She's now more of a "demand barker," especially at food time, but she alerts to new sights and sounds, too. Once the pups learned what toys were, they collected them in a pile to have always ready. She loves to play in water, chase squirrels, gather sticks (her favorite toy), and bark at cows. She knows "sit," "down," "come," and "drop it" commands and is crate trained as well as people and dog friendly. She sleeps well in her crate at night and keeps it clean. She's learned to walk on a leash, but she still might pull a little now and then. She's not a couch potato but an active, growing pup who needs stimulation and exercise. On 2/27/24 she had her first vet visit and received shots, had a negative 4DX, and was given drontal for whip worms with additional follow-up doses scheduled. She was spayed on 3/11/24 and has recovered nicely. She would even sit for her foster mom to take her cone off and on. Tootsie has a microchip but prefers an above-ground fenced yard for safe play and containment. She'd likely think chasing a cat was a great game, though, but the cat probably wouldn't agree. She's a smart girl, funny and entertaining, fully vetted and really for her forever family.   ------------------------------------- Animal Rights Fur-Ever is a 501(c)(3) non-profit all-volunteer animal rescue located in Ripley, West Virginia. Story
Jelly Bean is a very apt name for this gal: Sweet, compact and irresistible! Jelly Bean is true to her breed in the playyard, and loves running around and chasing the other dogs. She walks well on the leash, loves attention and can't wait to find her forever home! We do think JB would do better in a home with dogs closer to her size based on playstyles but please give us a call to discuss your specific case and arrange a meeting with JB today! If you are interested, you can fill out an application online at https://www.hsop.org/copy-of-adoption-application * Please note that PetFinder Inquiries do not count as applications, and we often do not see them. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hello, my name is Ginger. I was brought to Olive Branch as a owner relinquish. I came in with a little gash on my head and turns out, it was where I got hit with a BB gun. I was timid at first but after relizing how kind and amazing the Olive Branch staff are I began to trust them and let them give me all the care and love I needed. I do like to play with toys in the play yard and I love the attention I get as well. I will even give you kisses if you'd let me! I am spayed, current on vaccines, up to date on preventatives and also all negative on my combo test which is good. If interested, I'd like to meet your family and furry friends as well. To adopt me, go to our website: olivebranchwv.org to fill out an application to bring me home!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 29, 2024, 4:20 pm
