Story
Winnie is the sweetest girl, just over a year old. She’s a mixed breed, roughly over 30 pounds. She’s crate and house trained, spayed, and up to date on all of her vaccinations. Unfortunately, I’m a college student and don’t have the time to give her the attention that she deserves. I want to find her a loving home. She loves to run and play, is good with other dogs and absolutely great with kids. I think that she would do well in a home with a fenced in yard, or with somebody who has time to walk/play with her consistently. She’s been the best dog in the 10 months that I’ve had her. I just don’t have the time. If you’re interested, please don’t hesitate to reach out! If you decide that Winnie is the right dog for you, I will give you the dog food, her toys, her crate, and anything else that she may need.

Story
Foxy is very active and loving. She likes to play and she barks at a lot of things. She would do best in her natural environment on a farm or large piece of land. She likes to be useful, based on her instinct to work. She would be an excellent dog to work with animals on a farm. She also needs a good companion as she is very loving and likes to be patted and touched. She is the sweetest dog!

Meet Ares, an affectionate and loyal dog who’s currently in foster care and looking for his forever home! Ares is great with both the kids and other dogs in the household, making him a wonderful family companion. He’s playful, loving, and has a sweet nature that shines through in his daily interactions. Ares is a bit protective of his home, so he tends to be wary when visitors come by. Due to this, we’re requiring a $100 training deposit upon adoption, which will help him work on his socialization and make him feel more comfortable with new faces. With the right training, we know Ares will continue to thrive and show his true, loving personality. If you’re looking for a loyal and affectionate dog who just needs a little guidance to be his best self, Ares could be the perfect match for you! To meet Ares in person please submit an application, which can be found on our website chippewahumane.com. Once your application is approved a staff member will be in contact to schedule an appointment. Please call the shelter at 715 861 5748 with any questions.

Story
Adelaide came to us as a stray, however, after talking to people who knew her. We have more information on her. Addy knows her basic commands, she is housetrained however you have to be quick to respond to her if she sits at the door. She cannot go to a home with small animals, her prey drive is a bit to intense. She is a very smart dog, who would need someone who can meet her mental and physical needs. Addy is a sweetheart and a people pleaser. Her adoption fee is $150 with a $100 spay deposit

Story
Meet Mister! Mister came to CCHS as a stray earlier this January from the Granton area. This stunning, 2-year-old Red Heeler mix currently weighs 44.2lbs of goofiness! While we can't for certain what his life was like before, however we believe that Mister might have been a farm dog prior to ending up with us, as he didn't seem to understand what leashes, or even what a collar, was for! Mister is a super smart guy and is a quick learner; just always looking for a job to do! Our hope for Mister is to get him back to the farm life, as we do believe he would be happiest in that environment. With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the dog. Apply for Mister today!Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response. The adoption fee is $200. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS.

Meet Cherry! Cherry came to CCHS at the end of February from a local farm. This teeny Red Heeler is a year and a half old and weighs 19.8lbs currently. Cherry is a petite gal filled to the brim with love to give! She can be a little shy to start, but once she's warmed up to you, she has no problem melting into your lap. With any rescue, training and socialization are incredibly important to the success of the pup. Apply for Cherry today!Approved applicants will be notified via email.
