Story
He’s got the kind of rugged good looks that belong in a flannel jacket. Sturdy, weathered, and undeniably handsome. 🪵🐾This guy has a grounded, outdoorsy charm and a softer side that comes out the second you start giving scritches. Lean in to pet him, and he’ll lean right back, happily soaking in the attention. There’s something wholesome and familiar about him, like muddy boots by the door and early morning coffee on the porch. Strong, sweet, and easy to root for, he’s ready to find his people and settle into his next chapter. Story
Meet Moose, a 1-year-old neutered male Cattle Dog mix with a handsome medium-length tricolor coat and an even bigger personality! This happy-go-lucky guy greets his favorite people with enthusiastic hugs and is always ready for his next adventure. Whether he's splashing through every puddle he can find or happily running alongside a 4-wheeler, Moose loves to stay active. He has experience living with cats, dogs, and even poultry, making him a well-rounded companion. Moose has also lived with children but does display typical herding breed instincts, so he would do best in a home without young kids. If you're looking for a fun-loving, energetic best friend with plenty of affection to share, Moose is ready to be your adventure buddy!

Story
Bandit is a sweet, happy boy who loves spending time with this people, their friends, and other dogs. He's still got a bit of puppy energy, but he channels most of it into his favorite activity - fetch! If there's a ball involved, he's all in. When playtime winds down, he's perfectly content to relax and chew on his favorite bone. This friendly pup makes new friends quickly, whether they're humans, dogs, or even cats. He walks beautifully on a leash, enjoys car rides, and is always up for an adventure as long as he can be by your side. Bandit takes twice-daily medication due to experiencing a couple of seizures when he was very young, but he's doing wonderfully on it and continues to be the joyful, loving puppy he's meant to be. He handles the routine like a champ. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a gentle heart and plenty of love to give, Bandit may be your perfect match. Story
I`m Auggie, a 6-year-old Australian cattle dog (red heeler) that came to Animal Ark recently when life with a family that included two adolescents became a little much for me. Here`s what the AKC says about my breed: ACDs have immense work drive and excel at controlling and, of course, moving livestock. Their boundless energy and supple gait make them excellent running partners. ACDs are true-blue loyal, famously smart, tenacious, ever alert, and may be wary of strangers. If an ACD isn`t challenged, it easily becomes bored and may get into mischief. It is recommended that ACD owners participate with these versatile dogs in some work, sport, or regular exercise to keep them mentally and physically fit. It has been an adjustment coming into a shelter after living with my family for six years, and staff here are just getting to know me. If a running partner with the work ethic of a herder sounds like an adventure you are ready for, submit an adoption application to be scheduled for a meet and greet.
