ADOPTION FEE: $425 Meet Jimmy! This loving boy was shot in his foot due to no fault of his own. He has come to Colorado in hopes of finding his forever home! From his current foster: (3/8): "Jimmy is the most loving and loyal boy ever! He takes a little to adjust to new environments but is very quick to get comfortable. He’s been through so much in his life but still loves with his whole body. He does well in a crate when I’m at work but has some anxiety when left alone. He loves to play and tear up his toys but is very gentle when playing with humans. Jimmy is the definition of a furry best friend." Previous Shelter Notes: Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/oXvUrtpvVe4 Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/B3G7--DMsnc Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/FSewzeNCPFM Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/imMG_sqiZ2A Jimmy is a super affectionate, friendly, and gentle young man. He is quiet but has a very affectionate personality and loves to cuddle on the couch. He loves dogs and is very food motivated. He is very sweet and would make a great addition to your family. Gimpy has had an old injury to his front leg, or he has a deformity but he still gets around well. He doesn’t bear full weight on his front right paw. He’s happy to lounge around in the sunshine, snuggle with his favorite human, and to get all the yummy treats he can. Jimmy is as sweet as can be with a low energy level and he’s ready to binge watch Netflix with you! Doing great with potty training (has only had a few pees inside over 3 weeks). Still learning leash walks and commands but very motivated by affection and treats. Will be an amazing companion and addition to any family once she has her surgery and heals up. The cutest chocolate brown color and long pointy snout and ears. 🤎🤎🤎" Interested in this pup? ADOPTION FEE: $575 Meet Greta! This adorable cutie is looking for her forever home! From her fantastic foster: (3/3) "Greta is such a joy. She is the most friendly and cuddly puppy. She plays great with other dogs and loves to chew on her toys. She’s working on her potty training and nibbling, but if you give her a rope or chewing treat she will usually stop nibbling your hand. She’s good in a crate, and is a great sleeper. She’ll get a little burst of energy right before bed but once she’s out she sleeps throughout the whole night without a peep. She’s also not much of a barker unless she wants attention or is put in the crate during the day but it doesn’t last long. All in all she would make an amazing addition to a family" We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have pups available to meet at our office except during adoption events on Saturdays. Story
There's brown rice, white rice, jasmine rice, and then there's me! Hey! I'm Rice- or "goodgoodboy" if you want something less formal. I'm a handsome boy who loves going on adventures- I'm a professional on leash, and walk super nicely with my people. During my time at the shelter, I've gone on walks at City Park, strolled the Poudre River, and obviously had to enjoy many pup cups on our way home to top off the day! I'm a bouncy and bubbly boy looking for a home to call my very own. Some things about me? I've never met a person I didn't like- and I love them even more when they have snackies! I'll do just about anything for a tasty treat! As far as other animals, I get along well with most other dogs, but kitties tend to get me little toooo excited. I'm an adventurous soul looking for my perfect match! Plus, I'm FAMOUS! Check out my news clip here: https://youtu.be/p5WR3edgmgE?feature=shared Hurry to come and meet me- I won't be around long once word gets out about my stardom!

Story
My name is Brandy! I'm a 1-2 year old Blue Heeler and German Shorthaired Pointer mix. I weigh around 40lbs and have energy for days. I am quite the talker and my herding genes come out when I play. My fosters think I could be a fantastic working or farm dog or hunting partner with some training, however, I would also fit right in with an energetic family. My fosters don't know my story but the Pet Association in Estes Park saved me from a high-kill shelter in Kansas. I love soft toys but will rip them apart if given the opportunity and I do fantastic with all dogs. Come meet me!

Hello! I am Ash! I am a sweet loving boy looking for my new home! I have a history of liking calm female dogs but being afraid of pushy or male dogs so I would love to meet any dogs in the home at the shelter before being adopted. I will need a home without any cats or small mammals and may do best in a home without little dogs. I have a good history with children but might accidentally knock over little ones and would benefit from training. I have a sweet, goofy, playful personality and would love a home that enjoys playing fetch and going on long walks. I can`t wait to meet you!

Hi, I am Bella. My sister Maya and I are looking for a home that we can go to together. We are very loving, cuddly and playful. We were outdoor dogs in our previous home so we might need some help acclimating to a fully indoor lifestyle. My sister Maya is afraid of other dogs and likes to hunt small animals like rabbits so we need a home as your only pets. We would love to meet you and become a part of your family.

Hello - my name is Frankie! I'm from Texas and guessed to be a 2 yr old Lab / Cattle Dog mix and around 68 lbs. I am a handsome pup with lots of energy, hoping to find my furever home in Colorado! I love to run and play ball and would do best with a big fenced yard and an outgoing family willing to spend time training with me and include me on adventures. I'm confident, kinda selective about my dog-friends (does best with submissive females), and also a quick learner - especially if you have hot dogs. Sure would be great if you could come by Windsor and meet me!

Story
Cooper, Blue Heeler, 4.5 yrs., 40 lbs. Cooper tends to be shy at first but warms up pretty quick. He has a lot of energy and loves playing with Junie going on walks and exploring with her. He LOVES attention. He is a very loving and loyal dog with the silliest personality. I think he may be more human than dog. He gets along with other dogs but does take a minute to acclimate to them. He loves to give kisses (I think he was a lizard in his past life…hahaha). Junie, Australian Shepherd/Heeler, 4.5 yrs., 40-45 lbs. Junie is a very loving and loyal dog. She is the boss and loves keeping Cooper in line. She likes to go on walks and explore with him. She gets along with other dogs great, but she will growl when she has had her fill. She will not nip or bite. She is a bit more relaxed and laid back than Cooper, but still loves to play around with him. She also is a bit of an attention hog. She will stare through your soul until you acknowledge her. She is very in tune with human emotion and will snuggle with you when you are sad. She’s a very sweet soul. She also may be more human than dog. They are a bonded pair. They have grown up together and I would hate to separate them. They are soulmates and I would love for them to stay together. I understand that this is a lot to ask, but they are so worth it! We are having to re-home them due to a move across the country. This means we will be living out of a small camper and traveling all over the southeast. I don’t feel that this is a fair life for my pups to live. They love to run and play, and they wouldn’t get this freedom if they came with us.

These pups are in Fort Collins, Colorado too!

Story
ADOPTION FEE: $425 Meet Stella! This sweet lady was rescued from a life of neglect and is ready to find her forever home! From her foster: Stella is a high-energy, food motivated, intelligent mixed breed, ready to find her perfect match! She’s been in my foster care for 3 months, after being rescued from neglect. With proper nutrition and veterinary care, she is now at her peak health. This girl has come a long way! Stella is a bit shy and hesitant at first. Once she feels safe and comfortable, she loves being around her people. Around new people, Stella barks and shows wariness. In these experiences, having the new person sit seems to give Stella the confidence boost to approach when she’s ready, and treats are a key to Stella’s heart! Stella has discomforts around most other dogs. She has shown improvement on her weekly walks with a few calm well behaved dogs, but does not seem to enjoy face to face interaction. Stella would do best with a patient owner and would benefit from working with a trainer to help her gain confidence. Stella is a busy girl! She has a keen nose, and really enjoys engaging in puzzle toys. She knows many commands such as “sit”, “paw”, “down”, and loves engaging in learning sessions! Stella has more room for learning, and her food motivation makes training sessions enjoyable. She has learned to bring certain toys to play fetch. To those she is comfortable around, She is friendly, sweet, and has a natural love for companionship. Stella is kennel trained and takes to her kennel very well by being given her command “kennel.” Stella loves going on walks, she pulls a bit, and keeps a good jogging/running pace. Stella does fine passing calm dogs on the other side of the street, but shows reactivity (barks/pulls) towards dogs face to face, or other reactive dogs. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, energetic companion, Stella may be the girl for you. Meet Kuiper (KY-per)! He is named after the Kuiper Belt, home to dwarf planets. He is a quirky puppy who enjoys playing fetch and prancing around with a ball rope in his mouth. He’s a friendly boy who loves to say hi to every dog and every human at the store. He adores head and neck scratches and will give you sweet little kisses in return. At the end of the day, he will stay by your side to cuddle until you’re ready to put him in his kennel and sleep through the night.March 20, 2025, 2:04 pm
