Story
Dax is an extremely friendly and sweet 7 year old Australian Kelpie/pittie mix. She is a ball of love who loves to play and will be a devoted friend to her family. Likes meeting new people. Dax has some history of reactivity to other dogs, although she is fine at the veterinarian/petsmart. She has befriended and lived with other dogs in the past, but would need time and care in introducing her to other dogs. She may display some reactivity when being introduced to dogs. We do not recommend she live with small animals. She is fully vaccinated, house trained, and good with bathing/grooming. Microchipped. Can have flare ups of skin allergies, managed with supplements and lots of baths. Please call/email/text with any questions.

MEET BUTTERS!!! MEET  BUTTERS!!! Butters is the absolute sweetest!! Laid back and easy going, he is the best kind of companion!! He is already fully housebroken AND crate trained. Butters is a bit shy at first, but warms up with time.  He loves long walks where he can enjoy all the sights and smells of the neighborhood.  He is also very treat motivated, which helps with his training.   Butters is great with other dogs, and is currently residing in a home with THREE canine siblings.  He would LOVE another buddy to play with in his new home!  He has not been exposed to cats, however, he is non-reactive when seeing them on walks, so he would most likely do fine.  Looking for a well trained, quiet, well behaved, lounging chill companion?  Come meet Butters! #A4936376 mcaccMEET  MARGO!!! Margo is a sweet and happy dog. She absolutely loves being outside, hanging out in the shade or chasing lizards. She also likes to chase the ball. But what she loves more than anything is - FOOD! Margo is energetic when it's play time, but she equally loves to relax too, preferably in bed with you. She does have a mild case of valley fever, so she will need to be on medication until February. Margo is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. She knows the basics, but she is smart and willing to learn more. Margo is really the best dog ever. She is a great companion, she loves life and she would make a great addition for anyone's family. Story
We told Vanilla Ice that we were going to take his picture so we can post him online so we can find him a new family. His response was to go play in the biggest mud puddle he could find! Then he said, "I'm ready, let's do this!"  Vanilla Ice was picked up by animal control, living under a manufactured home in a nearby town with his siblings. Best guess is that he is a heeler/husky cross by looking at him and his siblings. We never saw his mom so it is just a best guess. The whole litter was very shy, and we had to put in some extra work to get them to be friendly and social with humans and they are doing great now. They are ready to find their new homes now. They are current on their vaccinations, deworms, microchipped and have been fixed. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Hi, I'm Lily, and I'm looking for a new home. I'm a sweet and friendly dog who loves to play and cuddle. I'm about 3 years old, but I still have a lot of energy and curiosity. I get along well with other dogs, big and small, and I don't mind cats or children either. I'm very loyal and affectionate, and I'll always be by your side. I was turned into the pound by my previous owners, and I don't know why. Maybe they couldn't take care of me anymore, or maybe they didn't love me enough. It was very scary and sad, but luckily I was rescued by the kind people at Central Arizona Animal Rescue. They took good care of me, and made sure I was spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I already know some basic commands and I am am pretty good with my manners, and I think I'm doing pretty well. I'm not sure if I'm house trained, I think I am but I'm willing to learn and please you. I'm ready to start a new life with a loving family who will cherish me and never abandon me. I promise to be a good girl and a faithful companion. If you're looking for a furry friend who will brighten up your days and warm up your nights, please e-mail mike@caaronline.org to set up an appointment and come and meet me. I can't wait to see you and give you a big kiss. PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Finn was found in Paradise Valley with his girlfriend. They landed on a nice family's doorstep. After taking them to the vet and checking the microchip, the found both are chipped but not registered to the correct owners. A week later, we decided these sweet pups need to find their forever homes. They are well behaved, respond to commands and a breeze to walk on leash. They were found with new collars, new leashes and well taken care of.
