Once a scruffy little stray with some health hiccups, this handsome guy has bounced back beautifully—he's gained weight, his tail wags like a propeller, and his silly side is shining bright! He’s a social butterfly who loves to play with other pups, whether they’re high-energy zoomie machines or more chill cuddle buddies. We told Vanilla Ice that we were going to take his picture so we can post him online so we can find him a new family. His response was to go play in the biggest mud puddle he could find! Then he said, "I'm ready, let's do this!" Vanilla Ice was picked up by animal control, living under a manufactured home in a nearby town with his siblings. Best guess is that he is a heeler/husky cross by looking at him and his siblings. We never saw his mom so it is just a best guess. The whole litter was very shy, and we had to put in some extra work to get them to be friendly and social with humans and they are doing great now. They are ready to find their new homes now. Hello, world! I'm Buckley, a 2-year-old red heeler mix with a little extra wiggle in my walk, thanks to something called cerebellar hypoplasia (or CH for short). Now, CH might sound fancy, but all it really means is that I have a unique swagger—think of me as your own personal, four-legged dance partner. My walk might be wobbly, but I don’t let it slow me down one bit! I was rescued from a tough situation, but those days are behind me. Now, I’m living the good life in my foster home, where I’m thriving and showing off my joyful personality every single day. Sure, I might take a tumble now and then—especially when I'm super excited—but I always bounce back with a smile (and maybe a little help from my friends). The best part? My condition isn’t contagious, and it won’t get any worse. I’m self-sufficient and love doing all the things a young pup should—running, playing, eating, and even riding in the car. I’m a pro at walking on a leash, I get along great with other dogs, and I absolutely adore kids. Leva is really sweet and affectionate but not too needy. She would love to be an only pet but does get along with other dogs. Our biggest issue is that when there is more than one dog in the yard, she digs under the farm fence and runs out into the road. We have only been able to let one dog out at a time and she and her sister (almost a twin) need a fresh start. It’s preferable they go separately as farm dogs, but could definitely go together to a walled yard. She is not house trained because, with lots of room to run, they have been mostly outside dogs. We would really love for her to go to a home where she will be an only outside dog or a house dog. She is very loyal, loving and gentle with kids.
