Story
Hi there, I'm Ruby—and I'm ready to love you forever. I’m about 2 years old, a mixed breed girl with a heart full of snuggles and a nose that’s always ready for kisses. Life hasn’t always been easy—I was found wandering the streets with my brother Rusty, scared and unsure of the world. But then we landed at Central Arizona Animal Rescue, and wow… they gave us love, safety, and belly rubs. Total game-changer. I’ve had a couple of homes since then. The first one was lovely, but there was a little dog there who just didn’t vibe with me. Same thing happened in the second home. So now I’m back at the rescue, hoping third time’s the charm. This time, I’m asking for a home with no little dogs, please. I get along great with people and big dogs—I just need a space where I can be my best self. &#226&#156&#168 Here’s what I bring to the table: I’m spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all my shots I walk like a pro on leash and I’m house trained I’m super smart and love learning new things I’m obsessed with squeaky toys, tasty treats, and cozy dog beds I’ve got a gorgeous reddish coat, white-tipped toes, a sweet red nose, and eyes that’ll melt your heart. I weigh around 40–50 pounds and while no one knows exactly what breeds are in my mix, I’ve heard whispers of Australian shepherd and red nose Staffordshire terrier. Honestly? I’m just Ruby. One of a kind. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and slightly goofy best friend, I’m your girl. I promise to make you laugh, keep you company, and love you with everything I’ve got. Come meet me at Central Arizona Animal Rescue. Just email mike@caaronline.org to set up a visit. I’ll be waiting—with tail wags and hopeful eyes. Love, Ruby   PLEASE e-mail (do not call) mike@caaronline.org for more information and to set up an appointment to adopt. Story
Jack has Valley fever. He gets seen by the vet to get medication for that. He usually takes the medicine twice a day. He enjoys walks. Being 10 years old he is a bit more limited physically. He doesn’t enjoy younger dogs all over him but enjoys the company of other dogs and kids who are kind to him. He loves pets and snuggles and giving good company. He also has done some hiking but not too rigorous since he is a senior dog. He’s a very happy dog and very handsome.

Story
Nico is a 2-year-old rescue we brought home from a breeder in Mexico. He is truly a gentle giant with lots of energy and a big love for rough play and fun. Nico thrives on activity and enjoys being engaged. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Nico is mostly potty trained, though he is still a work in progress and would benefit from continued consistency. When rescued, we didn’t know his breed or just how big he would grow. Over the past two years, we have done everything we can to give him a loving and fulfilling life while living in apartments.Due to another relocation, we are no longer able to provide the space and environment he truly deserves. This decision breaks our hearts, but our priority is finding whats best for Nico. We are looking for a loving home with a yard where Nico can run, play, and burn off his energy. He would do best with a family or individual who understands large, active dogs and can continue giving him the love, structure and room to grow.

Story
COURTESY POST - If you are interested in Remi, please text/call Ashley @ (480) 516-4755 Remi is an 8 month old(birthdate 4/14/2025) border collie mix that is looking for a new home. She is a very sweet and snuggly pup that has lots of energy and loves to play. She loves going on walks and going for rides in the car, really anyway to stay near her people. She is potty trained, but does sometimes get excited when greeting people and will tinkle a bit. This is getting better though! She knows sit, down, stay(for short periods), off, and come. She also knows some tricks and is very smart and learns things quickly. Remi is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations as well. She will most likely do best in a home without kids and where she is the only dog. She seems to get along okay with other dogs and may just need some more socialization training, but other dogs seem to get irritated with her because her herding instincts come out strong when she is around other pups. She has done well with kids as well, but she has the tendency to resource guard high value items. She has snapped at people to warn them away, but has not bitten anyone. She has been professionally trained with an e-collar in an attempt to get a handle on the resource guarding. It improved but not to a level we were comfortable with having her around our kids and therefore are looking for a new home for her. If you are interested in her, there will be $100 rehoming fee. Please reach out to Ashley at 480-516-4755. Courtesy Post Disclaimer This is a courtesy listing for a dog in need of a home.
