**Meet Nomi!** Nomi is a beautiful 1-year-old Kelpie/Border Collie mix who weighs 29 pounds and is ready to find the loving family she's been waiting for! This happy, energetic girl has never met a stranger. Nomi loves everyone she meets and is wonderful with people of all ages, including children. She also gets along great with other dogs and absolutely loves romping and playing with the canine friends in her foster home. Nomi is a smart young lady who is already house-trained to use a dog door and has excellent house manners. She stays loose on the ground floor of her foster home overnight without any problems. She rides beautifully in the car and is eager to join you on all of life's adventures. While she's still learning to walk politely on a leash, she's a quick learner and will continue to improve with a little guidance and consistency. Because she's young and full of energy, Nomi would thrive in an active home where she can enjoy daily walks, hikes, playtime, or adventures with her family. She would need a home with another playful dog to be her best friend. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, fun-loving companion who will fill your days with laughter and love, Nomi may be the perfect addition to your family. She can't wait to meet her forever family and start the next chapter of her life! Could that family be yours? Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. Meet Lulu! 🐾💗 This young cattledog mix may come across as a little shy at first, but don’t believe her for one second! 😉 Once she warms up, this girl is a total PARTY ANIMAL! 🎉 She had an absolute blast in the play yard, showing off her zoomies, playing with toys, splashing in the pool, and playing fetch like a pro. 🎾💦 She proudly brings her toy right back because she is ALWAYS ready for another round! Lulu has a gorgeous smile, a sweet and snuggly side, and would thrive in a semi-active home where she can have plenty of fun followed by plenty of cuddles. 🥰 She walks decently on leash and enjoys shelter playgroups with gentle, playful male dogs and easygoing females. She can be a little bit of a “fun police” when the girls get TOO playful, but she gets a little flirty with the boys! 😏🐶 If you’re looking for a playful adventure buddy who also happens to be a professional cuddler, Lulu might be your girl! 🏡❤️ Come meet this zoomie queen and let her show you what a party animal she really is! 🎉🐾

Meet Jan! Jan is a darling, beautiful girl who deserves a chance to be happy again. She came to us alongside her sister, Marsha, after their foster was unfortunately no longer able to care for them. In her foster home, Jan was described as a sweet, social girl who loves people, gets along with other dogs, and is wonderful with children! She’s an athletic, playful girl who loves running around the yard, burning off energy, and showering her people with love. She’s also house-trained! Sadly, shelter life seems to have taken a toll on Jan, and she hasn’t shown us the happy, playful personality her foster described. We believe this people-loving girl is struggling with the stress of shelter life and desperately needs to return to a home where she can feel safe, loved, and happy again. Dog-to-Dog: Jan currently does best with easygoing males and females. While she hasn’t been very playful at the shelter, we believe her fun-loving side may shine again once she’s back in a home!

Marsha was thriving in her foster home, but after returning to the shelter, this sweet girl’s spark has started to fade. 💔 Shelter life has been hard on her, and while she’s still happy to come out of her kennel, she just doesn’t seem like herself anymore. Marsha deserves to feel loved and safe again, and she needs a home ASAP to help her find her happiness! Her foster family had wonderful things to say about her! Marsha is a social butterfly who loves being around people, other dogs, and even kids. She’s a smart cookie who knows how to sit for treats, walks nicely on leash, and has fantastic manners. She really was a joy in her foster home! When Marsha got some time in the yard at the shelter, she looked around for a bit before settling into a quiet corner to rest. It was hard not to notice how much her spirit has dimmed. This is a girl who has shown she can blossom in a home environment, and we would love nothing more than to see her get that chance again. 🥹❤️ 🐶 Marsha does well with easygoing male and female dogs. She hasn’t shown much interest in playing with shelter dogs, but her foster family said she had an absolute blast with their pups! The right doggie friends might be just what she needs to help her come out of her shell again. Marsha is a sweet, social, well-mannered girl who has so much love to give. She has already shown us who she can be in a home, and she deserves to feel that happiness again

I rescued Fiona after her owner passed away and she was being taken care of by an existing tenant. She’s 7 yrs old, healthy, active, about 50 lbs. and very sweet and loving. I have all her vet records too. I think she would flourish in a home with another canine companion. I've been walking her daily and she is learning to heel and improving every day. On walks she is friendly with all people and dogs, but gets very excited. She loves playing frisbee or chasing a ball and loves to go on car rides. she’s also great with my 3 cats. Her dream home be with an active, patient family (hopefully with another dog) who will give her the attention and love she needs or someone who works from home or is retired. If you think you can give this girl a home, please contact me.
