Australian Kelpie puppies and dogs in Dixon, California

I am kelpie mix we believe and came in with my sister Kate Spade. Out of the two of us I am more extroverted and will wag my tail and happily run up to each and every single person who approaches me just merely for the attention I am deprived of so utterly and completely. Shelter life is harsh and cruel watching people pass me by day by day. Unknown cat compatibility but I did great with humans of all ages thus far and am highly social with other pups. I love play time and do fantastic with basic commands and I believe this breed with how intelligent they are they are capable of training and obedience highly easily so retrieving for fetch is simple and being mellow and easy going as well this was noted when I visited.

**Meet Nomi!** Nomi is a beautiful 1-year-old Kelpie/Border Collie mix who weighs 29 pounds and is ready to find the loving family she's been waiting for! This happy, energetic girl has never met a stranger. Nomi loves everyone she meets and is wonderful with people of all ages, including children. She also gets along great with other dogs and absolutely loves romping and playing with the canine friends in her foster home. Nomi is a smart young lady who is already house-trained to use a dog door and has excellent house manners. She stays loose on the ground floor of her foster home overnight without any problems. She rides beautifully in the car and is eager to join you on all of life's adventures. While she's still learning to walk politely on a leash, she's a quick learner and will continue to improve with a little guidance and consistency. Because she's young and full of energy, Nomi would thrive in an active home where she can enjoy daily walks, hikes, playtime, or adventures with her family. She would need a home with another playful dog to be her best friend. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, fun-loving companion who will fill your days with laughter and love, Nomi may be the perfect addition to your family. She can't wait to meet her forever family and start the next chapter of her life! Could that family be yours? If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. Meet Bandit! 🐾 Bandit is a 2-year-old mixed-breed boy with a one-of-a-kind personality. We think he may have some Kelpie, Husky, and Shepherd in his family tree—but honestly, your guess is as good as ours! Whatever his mix, we know one thing for sure: Bandit is a fantastic dog. Bandit and his brother, Rocket, were sadly abandoned at a vacant property after their family moved away. They spent about a week on their own before some good Samaritans found them and brought them to safety. Bandit is happy, affectionate, healthy, playful, and full of personality. He loves other dogs and especially enjoys playing with his brother, Rocket. He would be a wonderful companion for an active family and a big yard would be a huge bonus. Looking for a running buddy? Bandit is your guy! He can easily keep up with a running pace, yet he's surprisingly nice on leash and doesn't pull much. He's also discovering that car rides are pretty great and sits calmly and quietly in the car. Bandit has that wonderful combination of energy and good manners—ready for adventures when you are, but also affectionate and easy to enjoy. Whether it's a run, a romp in the yard or simply hanging out with his people, Bandit is happiest when he's included. If you're looking for a fun-loving, active, affectionate dog who can be your adventure partner and your best friend, Bandit would love to meet you!

Meet Foxie! She was actually rescued by two staff members in pt. Richmond with her baby and the dad. They all went to CCAS and foxie was the last one who needed a home, so Milo pulled her! So far she is sweet once she warms up and she is still learning the basics of the world. She would do well with owners who have experience with dogs and ideally adults only as she can be a bit nervous with too much going on. She walks well on leash.
