Dahlia Marie is a beautiful 7-year-old black Australian Kelpie with a gentle soul and a loyal heart. She currently lives on a ranch in Escalon and is used to having space to explore and relax. Dahlia can be a little shy around men at first, but she warms up quickly with patience and a few tasty treats. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality really shines. She is wonderful with kids and truly phenomenal with female dogs. With male dogs, she can be a bit assertive, so slow introductions or a female companion would be ideal. Her owner is facing a time-sensitive situation and needs to find Dahlia a new home before the end of the month. A loving foster home would also be a huge help while she waits for her forever family. I am an Australian ShepHerd / Australian Kelpie mix. (Mommy weighs 45 pounds / Daddy weighs 62 pounds) My momma was dumped in a cherry orchard and thankfully the orchard owner knew FOSTERING would save my life! I am 1 of 8 adorable puppies. I am nice and sweet! I am the smallest boy! I am microchipped, flea treated and dewormed. I'm scheduled to be neutered, but I'm looking for my home now. I am a puppy and I will require potty training. I will require a leash training when I am fully Vaccinated.
