Meet Cheyenne, a two year old cattle dog with the softest eyes and the gentlest heart. Weighing 47 pounds, Cheyenne came to the shelter after her owners could no longer care for her and her nine babies. After giving so much of herself as a devoted mama, she is finally ready to retire from motherhood and focus on enjoying life for herself.
Cheyenne dreams of the simple pleasures she has always missed out on. Scenic views, sharing snacks with her favorite humans, being a loved indoor dog, curling up on a cozy bed of her own, and having a safe, warm, and loving place to call home. She is a quiet, dainty girl with a gentle soul and so much love to give once she feels safe.
She is low energy, calm, and easy going, with a sweet personality that shines brighter each day. Cheyenne is learning leash confidence and gaining trust in the world around her at her own pace. With other dogs, she is submissive, gentle, and affectionate, often greeting them with soft kisses. She would truly thrive in a home with other dogs who can continue to help her build confidence and feel secure.
Cheyenne is learning what it means to love and be loved through the kindness of shelter staff, but she is more than ready to experience that love in a forever home. She is gaining confidence every day and blossoming into the wonderful companion she was always meant to be.
Cheyenne is ready for a new chapter filled with comfort, kindness, and quiet joy. All she needs is someone willing to give her the chance she has always deserved.

We are a foster-based rescue and generally do not have animals at our office, and not all animals attend adoption events. To coordinate a meet and greet with a specific animal please contact us!
We can only finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better, it takes time to review and approve applications!
We host adoption events almost every Saturday from *11:00 AM to 2:00 PM* around the Fort Collins community!
