I offered to take her from a friend who got evicted and I got very sick and I can't take care of her. I'm am a single mom who is working and in and out of ER's and doctor's right now. She is VERY smart and loving but also VERY hyper and needs LOTS of outside time and attention. She is house broken, but doesn't really like cats. She likes 3+ year olds, and can be easily trained. I will include all toys and leash and harness for her. She really is a good dog.

Story
"Mara is a 5-year-old shepherd mix with main-character energy and a soft spot for the simple pleasures in life. She loves slow, scenic walks on the beach (around the neighborhood will do), coming home to debrief you on her day, and settling in for quality couch snuggles. She’s also a total girl boss when it comes to enrichment toys and puzzle games—smart, confident, and proud of it. Mara prefers to be your one and only and finds other pets a bit… obnoxious, so she’s happiest as the sole star of the household. The upside? All her love, loyalty, and personality are yours. She’s crate trained, house trained, knows her leash manners and basic commands, and is kid-friendly. Mara would make an excellent first dog. If you’re looking for a loyal, chatty, couch-loving best friend to share your days with, Mara’s your girl!" Mara Jade is being fostered in Denver, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs.* You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/mara-jade/. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Hockley! This sweet guy has a quite a story to tell. He originally came to Colorado around four years ago — his owner had passed away in the home with Hockley in there. He was transferred to the Alliance to be treated for heartworm and adopted once clear. Hockley was hiding a bad habit, the habit of running and never looking back! After two separate five week long escapes, Hockley finished his heartworm treatment and was adopted into a loving home after being recaptured. In his new home, no more escapes thanks to being appropriately leashed (harness, collar and waist leash). Hockley has found himself back in need of a home without babies or small children (due to the chance of them leaving a gate or door open). He does well with other dogs and seems to ignore cats! He is funny, cuddly and a 10/10 on the cute scale. To top it all of? He is also house trained. Hockley is entering his middle aged years and with a life story that could fill a book, could you help him write his new chapter? Ask about this fluffy boy, today! Volunteers say Hockley loves to roll around in the snow!

Story
We got Pepper from a neighbors friend! She has been with us for about 3 months and is 7 months young. Honestly the only things we are looking for in a new home is someone who has the time to care for her and give her loving home. She is pretty calm for a puppy. She loves to run around and is very smart. She knows sit, lay down and paw so far. She makes weird little moans when she is tired which is adorable. She sleeps in her cage overnight and just needs to be let out after drinking and eating throughout the day. She loves toys and chew toys. We really love Pepper and believe this is the best decision moving forward. We feel she just deserves better. She is a bit shy around other people but opens up once she gets to know someone! I am currently working on her with her leash and harness to get her more comfortable on one.
