Neo is an adult dog who loves to learn and play, showcasing his intelligence in every interaction. Adopting Neo means gaining a loyal friend who will bring joy and activity to your life. He's ready to love and be loved in return.Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.       Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
Unfortunately, we have to rehome our baby boy, and it breaks our hearts. He’s a loving, sweet dog, but due to circumstances with our move, we can’t take him with us. We’re hoping to find someone who can give him the happy, stable home he deserves. He’s been around kids and absolutely adores them. He loves to cuddle. He needs to be an only pet, as he’s reactive to both cats and dogs. He is best suited as the only animal in the home. He listens well to commands and is a quick learner. He’s crate trained and highly food motivated. We will provide all his supplies and we’re happy to share anything else you want to know.

Story
Mindy (9months, 29lbs) is a happy, curious, and downright adorable young pup with silky black fur, caramel-brown accents, and a fluffy fan tail that perfectly matches her playful personality. She’s a total lovebug who adores snuggling, being told she’s a good girl, meeting new people, and getting brushed like the princess she clearly believes she is. Mindy is housebroken and does wonderfully in her crate—quiet, calm, and accident-free. She knows sit, down, and come (most of the time!) and is eager to learn more, especially when treats are involved. When she’s not cuddling, she’s happily entertaining herself with toys or attempting to convince you that laying directly on your head is the ultimate form of affection. As a typical 9-month-old puppy, Mindy is still learning the ropes and will need continued training and exercise. She’s working on polite leash manners—she gets easily distracted by interesting smells, sounds, birds, and leaves that clearly must be chased. She may jump when excited and is learning “off” and “stay,” so a patient, consistent home will help her shine. Mindy would likely do well with another dog to help show her the way, but she’ll thrive just as much with humans who have the time and energy to keep her active, mentally engaged, and well-loved. She has not been around cats or children. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, snuggly pup who’s ready to grow into an amazing companion, Mindy might be your perfect match. ????If you’d like to take this pupper home, please fill out an adoption application at this link – https://animalalliesrescue.org/dog-application. The adoption fee is $350 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!

Story
Russell is a healthy, intelligent, and athletic 2yo male Australian Shepherd looking for the right long-term home. He is house-trained, great with other dogs and cats, and does well with both men and women.(He has not lived with kids but would ideally live in a kid-free home or older kids home who knows to not to pull tails) Outside the home, he has no issues with strangers and enjoys being out and about. Russell loves bonding with his people, is very smart, and thrives on structure and routine. He has worked with both an obedience trainer and responds well to positive reinforcement. He is still working on managing stress when unfamiliar people enter his home, which is why a low-traffic household is important for his success. Russell would do best with an active individual or couple who can provide consistency, predictability, and a calm environment. Unfortunately, I am not the right long-term home for him due to frequent visitors related to caregiving responsibilities.

Story
Grace is a very cute girl who was transferred to us from a shelter in West Virginia and is still getting used to the busy city life. She can be a little shy at first, especially in new or noisy environments, but when she feels unsure she’ll come right over to her people for reassurance. Grace greets everyone with a loose, wiggly butt that shows just how sweet she truly is. Once she’s comfortable, her loving personality shines—she adores cuddles and will do just about anything for her favorite treat: hotdogs!
