Story
Meet NeronNeron is a distinguished 14-year-old mix with a gentle soul and a lifetime of love to give. This sweet senior can be a little cautious with new people and likes to take his time getting to know them, but once comfortable, he enjoys companionship and gentle attention.Despite his age, Neron still enjoys leisurely walks and loves stopping to sniff all the interesting smells along the way. He has lived with other large dogs, adults and seniors. He has experience living with children but may be avoidant around younger children. He enjoys rough-and-tumble play with other dogs but can also be content simply ignoring them and do his own thing.Neron is searching for a loving retirement home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by patience, kindness, and comfort.

I am also very smart and pick up training very quickly. The right humans for me will love my sense of humor, maybe have one or two other dogs I can play with, and take me on long walks, then snuggle me afterwards. I am house-trained, and I have been crate trained, but I do not like it, and I will sing, or yell, the song of my people while crated. I’m good at being left out, but I might need an adjustment period to my new home’s schedule. When I’m excited, I bark at other dogs on leash, but it’s because I want to meet everyone. I also have a delicate stomach, so I’m on a special diet, and no matter how much I beg, you cannot give me human food!     My foster mom is a dog trainer and will definitely help my new family get me settled with training sessions and resources.  Apply today, I'm ready and waiting to meet you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Named after My Little Pony for their friendly and happiness! These 5 playful puppies are full of personality, silliness, and nonstop fun. Whether they’re bouncing around the yard, pouncing on their siblings, or “talking” to you with their adorable little puppy noises, this crew knows how to keep everyone entertained. These babies LOVE to help with everything — even if their version of helping means stealing your hoodie strings, tugging on your pajama pants, or turning laundry time into a full wrestling match. Tug-of-war is their favorite sport, and they are always ready for playtime and adventures. When they finally tire themselves out, they’re happy to pile up together for cuddles and naps. If you’re looking for goofy best friends that will keep you laughing, keep you on your toes, and fill your home with love, this magical little litter is ready to gallop straight into your heart! Story
Georgey (or in Spanish, Gorge) is an 11-month-old pup that weighs approximately 32 lbs. While we do not know who his parents are, we believe he is Australian kelpie mixed with lab or catahoula. Either way, he is definitely adorable and very petite. We do think he is full grown as he has not grown since we got him. He has been in foster care since March 2025 - He was born on a ranch in south Texas, where a stray dog had puppies at. Only Gorge and his brother, Johnny, were surrendered though. We don’t know what happened to the other puppies or the parents. This awesome boy absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. He is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this fur-baby until their forever home is found. Gorge is a goofy boy – he is always willing to try something first and would be considered the “class clown” of the group. He is a pleaser and loves being accepted by the other dogs. He is more submissive than most. Gorge loves his toys and playing around the yard. There is nothing he does not like doing. He is all around a very relaxed and easy going boy that would fit almost all types of households. He loves being around his people and will follow you around, trying to please you too. Gorge gets a little jealous when other dogs are out playing and he is in kennel. He will make very sad whimpering sounds in hopes to get let out, and usually it works! Gorge loves his toys so much that he decides it’s much better to have 20 pieces of one toy than just one toy! Tough toys are definitely a must for young Gorgey. He has met kitties and he has no issues with them! He would live very happy with other dogs and kitties in the home. Gorge is so friendly that he loves kids, strangers and really, any human! Gorge would love a home that has another dog or dogs, where he can play, have a kiddo pool full of water to lay in and go on walks around the neighborhood to explore and see new things. He would be truly great for most types of households. This animal is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. PLEASE READ BELOW: To apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals out in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily. We ONLY do adopt in Central US and the East Coast. The adoption fee listed ($495) INCLUDES transport from Texas to the Northeast. Transport goes to the following locations every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY – Only one transport company goes here, once a month Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT Nashua, NH – Only one transport company goes here, times vary Willington, CT - Stamford, CT - Dayville, CT Steubenville, OH – Cincinnati, OH – Grove City, OH Grove City, PA and Washington, PA – THESE STOPS ARE ON HOLD AS OF 7/1 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA We have happily adopted hundreds of animals this way (long distance), and we do our best to make sure the animal you are applying for is best fit for your home. Story
Acoyee is a mature and wise man. At 6 years of age, he's not quite a senior, but he sure knows a thing or two about life. This 60lbs super sweet pup is affectionate and loves his scratches. He turns and leans into your body to show and receive the love he craves. His foster described him as a super chill pup who is content to nap while you're doing stuff around the house. He's also very good on walks. He doesn't pull, but he will try to happily greet every human he sees. When encountering wildlife like deer and cats, he definitely has the desire to get a closer look but is easily redirected. He's had zero accidents in the house and knows some commands like sit, paw and speak. His fosters are trying to perfect his down and roll over. He also has a playful steak. He loves to pull toys for a good game of tug of war. Stuffed toys won't last very long with him, he likes to tear them apart. He will make a great addition to just about any family! If you live in DC/MD/NoVa and wish to ask Acoyee to join your family, please fill out an application for him on our website at www.foreverchangedar.org/adopt-a-pet to begin the process.
