Story
Meet Tiberius Riker — or Ty, if you’re lucky enough to be his friend. This 5-year-old, 55 lb sweetheart is ready to find the loving, forever home he’s always deserved. Ty first joined our rescue as a puppy and was adopted, but life took a difficult turn. After a move across the country, he ended up in a home where he experienced years of mistreatment. Thankfully, his original adopter reached out to return him to us—and since then, Ty has been thriving in a nurturing foster home that’s given him the time, care, and stability to heal. Ty is goofy, sweet, and relaxed. He’s house and kennel trained, and walks beautifully on a leash and harness. While he’s not the type to chase toys or wrestle with other dogs, he loves being close to his people—snuggled on the couch watching Law & Order or Chopped (he’s a big fan of Chopped). If there’s no room on the couch, he’ll happily curl up at your feet. He’s a quiet guy, except when he's excited for a walk or hoping for a snack—his favorites are carrots and apples! Ty adores belly rubs, handles brushing like a champ, and only protests when it comes to nail trims (understandable, right?). Ty has food allergies that require a specific diet—he does well on 4Health Salmon & Potato and receives Cytopoint allergy shots to keep him symptom-free. He’s done wonderfully with the kids in his foster home, enjoys their company, and loves cuddling up to watch TV with them. He’s also coexisted peacefully with a cat and would be happy with or without another dog in the home. Ty has been through a lot, and what he needs now is simple: a home full of gentleness, kindness, and consistency. He’s a truly special soul who’s ready to give his heart to a family that will finally give him the love and security he deserves—for the rest of his life. If you feel that you can give Ty the home life he deserves, you can send inquiries to our director of adoptions at muttmisfitsadoptions@gmail.com or apply to meet / adopt at www.muttmisfits.org/adoption-application Ty is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and preventative, heartworm negative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $150.

Story
Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, playful guy! He is approximately 4 years old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 60 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd, Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and he is in a training program getting ready for his forever home! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs! All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Story
Introducing Tiffany Biffany, a dog with a big personality and a big heart to match! Tiffany is an incredibly friendly pooch who gets along with just about anyone - dogs and humans. She's an intelligent girl who is always up for smelling around, and she's got oodles of energy and enthusiasm, which she's happy to channel into some fun activities. She's a quick learner who is always ready to impress her owners with new tricks and skills. She is house and crate trained and working on her leash skills. She loves getting any attention she can. In summary: Tiffany is pretty much the full package, and she's just waiting for the right person to come and take her home. Could that person be you? She is around 2 years old and 50 pounds. We think she is a mix between a cattle dog and a malinois. Interested in becoming a forever home for Frankie?
