Story
Meet Copper! Copper is a very sweet, active and playful guy! He is about 12-18 months old, and at his last vet visit weighed in at 51 pounds. We think Copper probably has some Australian Shepherd, along with several other breeds including possibly Belgian Shepherd. Greyhound or Carolina dog. Copper is a beautiful and happy boy. He’s lucky to be alive! Copper came to us from the shelter at a time when he was minutes from losing his life because he had an upper respiratory infection. We are so glad he is with us now, and we will find his perfect forever home for him! Copper does well in a crate, he also does well on a leash. Copper would love to be a hiking or running buddy! His foster mom said he is doing well at learning house training. Copper loves to play with his doggy friends especially tug-of-war with the big rope toys and will do wonderful at a daycare or dog park with other active and playful dogs! Interested in becoming a forever home for Copper? Story
Garnett is a firecracker with the sweetest and most loyal heart! She would be the happiest being the only pup, because she just wants all the love and cuddles. She is potty and crate trained. Garnett is going to need some support behavioral training. She is a bit timid of strangers but comes around quickly. She does well with our submissive male but not with our dominant female. Like most pups she gets overly excited to see us and wants to be in our lap and will leap to get their we typically don’t mind it but I know some people might.  Garnett had a rough start in this life, never having home a home and surviving during an Oklahoma freeze with three of her puppies. When she first came to us she was completely wild. It was obvious she had never had a dog toy or even consistent food. She was in constant survival mode but over time she began to trust us and now is a well loved chunck! I would love for someone to adopt our girl and give her the time and love she deserves! She’s had it rough and needs her forever family!! ##1109191##

Story
Meet  R U S T Y  Rusty has been in the 405 Animal Rescue program for 208 days, and not had a single application .   He is approaching one year old, and has truly blossomed into an inquisitive and playful guy!  Rusty loves to play with his crab tuffy, and is getting the hang of fetch.  He knows how to signal that he would like to go outside, and when it’s past dinner time .  Rusty will cuddle up to you on the couch, but also likes his personal space. He’s quite intelligent and is even learning different names for different toys .   He likes to talk, and will carry on a conversation as long as you’ll entertain it.  He awoos, howls, and barks to communicate- it’s really cute .  He loves playing with other dogs, and will let them be the boss because he just wants everyone to get along and play .  He has seen a kitty a few times and was curious from a distance so I believe he could do well with a cat with time!  If you’re looking for a pup who is always ready to listen, Rusty is your guy-just look at those ears! Rusty’s ideal home will be with another playful dog or two or three!  Rusty is believed to be a red heeler and possible husky mix, so breed experience is preferred, although he has pretty chill energy for both of those breeds. ##1882212##

Story
Maddie is a 1.5 year old female pit and suspected Catahoula mix. She has a heart of gold, adores her people and is defined by her full body wiggles and “happy chomps” when she greets you. While she loves to play or lounge outside in the backyard, she also equally loves being a glorified couch potato and is an excellent snuggle bug.  She loves stuffed toys and bones alike! Maddie is still growing in confidence with new people after she was found as a stray, but her trust skyrocketing with each passing week. Give her a little patience and kindness and you are guaranteed to have a new best friend.  She will undoubtedly be an excellent companion for the right family, be it house or adventure dog! Maddie enjoys being around other adult dogs and her foster cat sibling (unknown how she does around puppies or young children yet). She is potty and kennel trained and is sleeping soundly overnight in her kennel, although it’s clear she would prefer cuddling up to her person. She is not food aggressive and is very polite about taking treats and snacks. She knows sit and is doing excellent with recall off leash, and is polishing up on other aspects of obedience her foster home currently. ##2137288##

Jesse is such a sweet boy. If you're looking for a calm, relaxed companion who follows you everywhere, Jesse is the dog for you! He wants nothing more than to lay at your feet and just be your companion. He does well in a harness, but can pull a little. He doesn't jump up on you. Knows sit and lay down and we're working on stay. Good with cats and kids. Jesse was attacked by some dogs in his own yard. He was surrendered and has had a long journey of healing. His back leg does not work as well as we were hoping, but it doesn’t slow him down. He was treated for heartworms, and has made a complete recovery. Jesse needs a home with a calm dog and loving family.

Story
This is Jett! He’s a 2-year-old cattle dog mix who is super smart and learns things so quickly! Jett is eager to be the best boy and is searching for his forever family. He gets along great with other dogs, though we’re not sure how he does with other types of pets. Jett would thrive with a yard to play in and really needs a furry friend to keep him company since he has some separation anxiety. At first, he might be a little shy, but he quickly warms up to get all the pets and love! Jett is neutered, up to date on all his shots, and on Heartgard. He’s been to the groomer a few times—while he’s not the biggest fan, he’s learning to trust the process. He’s even been to obedience training and quickly advanced to agility training! Jett is very loved in his foster home, and now he’s ready to find his forever home! If you need any more information, feel free to ask!
