Story
Meet Dexter, or Dex for short— a loyal, loving one-year-old companion looking for the right home. At about 45 pounds, Dexter is the perfect medium-sized buddy for someone who wants a dog that loves being close to his people. His favorite things? Playing fetch with his stuffed toys, curling up right beside you (or even in your lap!), and spending time with the people he trusts. He also enjoys going on walks and exploring with his person. We believe he is a herding type dog. Dexter can take a little time to warm up to new people and is alert when visitors enter the home, so he’ll do best with patient adopters who understand that trust takes time. Loud vehicles can sometimes make him anxious on walks, but he continues to gain confidence with reassurance and routine. The good news is that Dexter does very well around other dogs and does not bark at them on walks or through fences. He enjoys cats and would happily try to make them his playmates! Because he can be sensitive to new people and activity, Dexter would do best in a home without young children. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will stick by your side and reward your patience with lots of love, Dexter may be your perfect match! Dexter is little over 1 year old so still puppish, but fully vetted, Neutered, Microchipped, and his adoption fee is $340. To meet him please go to our web\site - OFOSA.ORG and fill out the Dog Adoption Application and his foster mom will be intouch.

Story
MEET ROCKY, a 2-year-old Australian Kelpie in need of a foster or forever home! Rocky is a very affectionate dog who loves his human! He would do well with someone who works from home or is retired, as he loves to be with people. Rocky weighs only 40 lbs., and is a loving boy. He's done well with other dogs in the past, though we can test him further. Kelpies are intelligent dogs, believed to have been descended from Border Collies. They love to be stimulated with walks and other activities. Rocky would do best in an active home where he can go for walks, hikes or other outings. He's currently in Southern California but can be transported to Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
DELI Breed: Australian Kelpie Mix Birthday: 7/25/2024 Weight: 40 pounds Health: Healthy, vaccinated and spayed Personality Deli is a bright, spirited young girl who’s eager to experience everything the world has to offer. She’s highly intelligent and quick to learn, making her a fantastic candidate for advanced training, agility courses, or interactive games that challenge her mind. Deli thrives on human connection—she’ll stick by your side during hikes, trot happily on neighborhood walks, and settle in for cuddles at the end of the day. She’s alert and curious, often tilting her head when you talk to her like she’s trying to understand every word. While she has an independent streak, Deli is also deeply affectionate and loves feeling part of a family unit. With the right environment, she will blossom into a loyal and engaging lifelong companion. Breed Information Australian Kelpies are known for their agility, stamina, and intelligence. Story
Meet Hassan Breed: Husky / Kelpie Mix Sex: Male DOB: July 17, 2022 Weight: 66 pounds Health: Healthy and vaccinated Hassan is a striking, intelligent boy with soulful eyes and a strong, resilient heart. He was abandoned and rescued from a very busy roadway, where he was dangerously close to being hit by cars. Thankfully, he was saved in time — and now he’s ready for the safe, loving forever home he deserves. Despite his difficult beginning, Hassan has remained loyal, playful, and full of life. Personality Hassan lives peacefully with other dogs and enjoys being around humans. He loves going out for walks, running, and exploring the world around him. Playtime is one of his favorite things — especially chasing a ball or carrying around plush toys. When he first meets new people, Hassan can be a little reserved or cautious. But once he gets to know you, his personality softens beautifully, and he becomes affectionate and loyal. He just needs a little time to feel secure. Hassan does not like sharing his food, so he would do best in a home where feeding routines are managed thoughtfully and respectfully. Breed Info: Husky / Kelpie Mix This is a smart, athletic mix that typically brings: High intelligence and problem-solving ability Strong loyalty to their people Active energy that thrives with exercise A desire for engagement and purpose Hassan will do best in a home that enjoys walks, outdoor time, and mental stimulation. Owner Responsibilities Hassan will thrive with: Daily exercise (walks, running, play sessions) Continued positive reinforcement training Clear structure and consistency Managed feeding routines due to food guarding Patience while he builds trust with new people He is not difficult — he simply needs leadership, routine, and love. &#226&#154&#160&#239&#184&#143 Things to Consider Before Adopting Before bringing Hassan home, please consider: Do you have time for daily exercise and enrichment? Is your home and lifestyle stable long-term? Are pets allowed where you live? Can you provide structure and manage feeding separately if needed? Adoption is a lifelong commitment, especially for an active breed mix Hassan deserves a home that won’t give up on him. Vet Care Although Hassan is healthy and vaccinated, adopters should schedule a visit with their own veterinarian as soon as possible after adoption to establish care and continue his wellness routine. The 3-3-3 Rule First 3 days: Hassan may be cautious and observant as he adjusts. First 3 weeks: He’ll begin to learn your routine and feel secure. First 3 months: Trust deepens, and his loving, loyal personality truly shines. Patience and consistency will help him flourish. Why Hassan Is Special Hassan survived being abandoned and left in danger — yet he still chooses trust. He is playful, intelligent, and deeply loyal once he bonds. He deserves stability, safety, and someone who will show him that he is finally home for good. If you’re ready for an active, devoted companion who will stand by you with loyalty and heart, Hassan is waiting for you If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. Story
HI - I'M TARZAN, and I'm a sweet and shy 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog in need of a forever home. I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, where I became urgent because I was so scared and timid. While there, I had kennel mates, and I'm currently in a foster home with other dogs. I'm still shy, but am a work in progress. I'm starting to come out of my shell, and I can be petted now. I need a quiet home with a patient person or people who can give me a sense of security and the love and affection I so deserve. I'm very young and have my whole life ahead of me. I'm currently in Southern California, but can be transported to Oregon. I weigh only about 40 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
WOOF! I'M SPARTA! I'm a sweet and active 2-1/2-year-old Cattle Dog mix (possibly mixed with Greyhound) in need of a forever home! I was rescued from a California shelter along with my sisters, who now have been adopted. So now it's time for me to get noticed! I am a relatively small girl - about 40-45 pounds - and would do well in a and active and quiet home with people who can take me for walks, hikes and other outings. I have done well around other dogs though would do great as an only dog, too. I'm currently in Southern California but can be transported to Oregon. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M PACO! I am a sweet 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix in need of a forever home! I was rescued from the streets of Ensenada, Mexico, by a compassionate Canadian couple who then tried to find me a home. Eventually I was placed in a rescue and am doing great! Now, I spend my days running around, playing with my doggy pals, and then taking a much needed nap! I weigh only 40 lbs and am a happy, fun-loving boy. I am an affectionate sweetheart and love nothing more than to snuggle. I'm also fully housebroken! Personality-wise, I'm quite mellow but I do get excited when I'm showered with love and attention. I can't wait to become someone's best friend! Please email for an application.
