Story
HI - I'M TARZAN, and I'm a sweet and shy 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter, where I became urgent because I was so scared and shy. While there, I had kennel mates, and I've done well with other dogs. I'm still shy, but am a work in progress. I'm starting to come out of my shell, and I can be petted now. I need a quiet home with a patient person or people who can give me a sense of security and the love and affection I so deserve. I'm very young and have my whole life ahead of me. Please email for an application.

Story
HI - I'M PACO! I am a sweet 1-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix in need of a forever home! I was rescued from the streets of Ensenada, Mexico, by a compassionate Canadian couple who then tried to find me a home. Eventually I was placed in a rescue and am doing great! Now, I spend my days running around, playing with my doggy pals, and then taking a much needed nap! I weigh only 40 lbs and am a happy, fun-loving boy. I am an affectionate sweetheart and love nothing more than to snuggle. I'm also fully housebroken! Personality-wise, I'm quite mellow but I do get excited when I'm showered with love and attention. I can't wait to become someone's best friend! Please email for an application.

Story
Hi! I’m Riddle!I’m a 2 -year-old, medium-sized Australian Cattle Mix with a big heart and aneven bigger personality.Three words my friends use to describe me: shy at first, playful, and a protector. My energy level is high, and my favorite way to spend the day is running freely!I Love: Cheese Walks and runs To be next to youI go absolutely bananas for cheddar crunchies, and I’m pretty sure cheese is thebest thing ever.Home Life:I am house trained and do well when I am reminded to not mark my territoryinside. At the end of the day, you’ll usually find me on my bed with my pillow andblankets.Social Skills: Dogs: Loves playing with dogs! Cats: Unknown Kids: Unknown New people: Scare me still and I will need time to learn everyone.I do best with 1 person at a time to help me feel safe and confident.Training & Manners:I know sit, paw and lay down and am learning how to leave it.On leash, I am doing well, occasionally I will pull but improve every day.Ideal Foster or Forever Home:My dream home would have enough space for me to run around, like abackyard.I’d love a family who give me time to show who I am and doesn’t mind taking itslow with me to show me I can trust them. Why Foster or Adopt Me?Because I bring love, laughter, and energy wherever I go.If you’re looking for a loyal companion who hears every small noise and would liketo watch me run around, I’m your dog!Ready to Meet Me?I can’t wait to meet my foster or forever family—could that be you? ##2580679##

Story
Some dogs burst into a room and some quietly take a spot next to you on the couch. Rusty Cutie Patootie is very much the second kind he is gentle and peaceful. He has a presence that brings a sense of calm wherever he goes there is something comforting about having him nearby he just exists alongside you. Check out Rusty’s YouTube video to see him cute self https://youtu.be/4rmlUG7Q3oo?si=WGa04LJFuPOOVUVq Rusty Cutie Patootie enjoys being close to people and happily except soft pets, standing patiently by your side and soaking in the affection. He doesn’t ask for much just kindness, patience, and a little space to feel safe. His quiet nature makes every small connection feel meaningful, and when he chooses to lean in or linger by it feels so special. Rusty is a handsome cattle dog husky mix who’s about a year and a half old and weighs 60 pounds. He has a quiet presence and a gentle way about him. Rusty isn’t the type to demand attention instead, he stands nearby and softly lets you know he’s happy just being close. At first Rusty may come off as a little reserved but once he settles in he would love to lay next to his people all day. He may not immediately seek out constant affection but he truly appreciates it. Rusty did very well around other dogs. He was very polite, respectful and calm greeting them with sniffs and good manners. Well he didn’t show interest in playing or roughhousing he coexisted amazingly even with dogs who were eager to engage him. Rusty simply prefers to do his own thing. Explore the yard sniffing around or standing nearby taking everything in. Because of this he would do best with the calm, respectful dog sibling who won’t pressure him to play, though he would also be perfectly happy as an only dog soaking up a peaceful routine. When it comes to people Rusty does best when he is given a little time and space to feel comfortable, he can be unsure when people approach him quickly or when there’s a lot going on around him so a quiet, low traffic home would be ideal. Either an apartment or home with a yard could work for him. He does seem a bit uneasy around cars so a less busy area would help him feel more at ease to build confidence. One of his sweetest qualities is how well he did with kids. He showed a gentle calm, presents around them and seemed most comfortable in their company. He would do best with children who understand how to respect a dogs space allowing him to approach on his own terms and not push boundaries. But he is good with kids being crazy and roughhousing. He didn’t react just sat there and watched. Rusty did meet our cat and he did pretty well didn’t react much. I think he would need to get another cat test done to be sure but it is possible he could live with a cat. Rusty is not high energy or demanding. He’s a nice calm, easy-going dog who doesn’t need constant simulation to be happy, he’s a type of dog who would enjoy quiet mornings, long walks and peaceful evenings at home. With time, consistency and patience rusty has all the potential to blossom into an incredible loyal and loving best friend. If you’re looking for a dog who values, calm companionship Rusty may be the perfect fit for you. He’s a special boy. He just needs the right environment and when he gets it ,it will be worth every moment. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Jack is a sweet, gentle and affectionate 7 year old boy. He came to us on January 17th after his human passed away. Unfortunately, we're unable to keep Jack long term. Jack knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. He has done well in our home with 3 other dogs and a chicken. We've seen him interact with children on a limited basis and he has done well. He would do great as a companion for an elderly person or in a family setting. He's looking for someone who will take him on walks and love on him the way he deserves. Jack has allergies that went untreated for some time prior to coming to our home which has caused a skin condition. The good news is that it is treatable and he's already well on his way to feeling and looking better. His future home will need to continue his current regimen and be diligent about keeping his allergies under control. Jack has an appointment next week to get updated on shots and will then be adoptable through Senior Dog Rescue of Oregon!
