Story
Jupiter is looking for his forever home! He needs a special family with at least one other dog, so he can emulate another dog! A fenced in yard would be the best! Jupiters, precious life began as a bait dog. Although that life scared him, he is one sweet guy! He gets along with dogs, cats, kids, and all adults. He is very timid, and it will take a while for him to get used to you. We began fostering Jupiter in October 2021 (he was about seven months old) and in April 2022 an older couple adopted him. The wife fell and hurt her back and the man found out he had later stages of liver disease. They brought him back to us in October 2022. He seems a little better, but he's still struggling with potty training. We let him out about every hour or two and even though he goes outside he still feels the need to use the pee pads at times. We don't crate him because he has not been a fan since his life as a bait dog was spent in a crate. He does have free range in the house, but tends to stay put in his 'safe spot.' When he does come to join the family, he loves to cuddle and be talked to. If you think Jupiter would make a great addition to your family, please fill out the application with ASF and let's get him home! If you think that Jupiter is a graeat fit for your family, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
IN Maylene, AL - Emaline is an 8-month-old pup who is learning how to socialize with other dogs outside the home. She is great with dogs inside of the home but may take a little time to warm up to them. She tends to be reactive to other dogs she meets while walking until she gets familiar with them. Emaline has some strong herding instincts and may excel in agility or as a working dog. Emaline would do best with a home with other dogs so she can continue to socialize and not become reactive to other dogs or possessive of her people. She would prefer not to be in a crate all day and needs a fenced in yard so she can run off her puppy energy playing fetch and playing and running with other dogs. She will need someone who will continue her training. Emaline is on the smaller side at 31 lbs., up to date on vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick prevention, spayed and microchipped. A message from Emaline: A few of My Favorite Things are: Playing (especially with other dogs), Walking, Toys, Fetch, and a good bone. I would be the happiest girl if I had another sibling that would play and run with me and teach me all the things I do not know. I have quickly learned to sit and lay. I have a lot of energy and strong herding instincts. Emaline is available for adoption in Maylene, AL. A meet and greet is required. If you are interested in making Emaline part of your family, please fill out the application at https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additinoal $20 microchip fee that covers registration and transfer to her new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Meet Winston, a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who is known for his friendly demeanor towards other dogs. His ability to bond and interact positively with other dogs is a testament to his social nature! Winston has reached his mature weight of 45-50 pounds and wears a long coat of chocolate and white. Winston deserves a loving home where he can continue to thrive and bring joy to those around him! He loves to be around people and play ball. He does not like cats though and that’s okay! Will you give Winston his forever home?
