Story
Sammy is a wonderful Australian Shepard. He is very sweet. He seems to have been abused by a male. So, it takes him a while to get close to people, particularly men. Just be patient and loving and he will return the love. Sammy has been with Sandy, a female Australian Shepard that looks like him, all his life and the two need to stay together.

Story
Hi! I'm Delilah! I am a happy, playful, young aussie girl who would LOVE to find my FURever home to spoil me like the princess I am. I am a dominant female and am fine with male dogs and submissive females so please don't expect me to live with a bossy girl :) I am the epitome of velcro Aussie and I promise you will never do anything alone, ever. I will also help you with any and e very chore you try to do around the house and make sure I give it my inspection too. I am totally house trained but do like to chew on my soft toys and an occasional blanket or pillow but that is rare. I am a little shy and nervous at first so need a patient family to let me settle at my own speed. Older children will be best as the young ones may move too quickly or not know how to respect my space as I adjust. I am fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and anyone interested in meeting me needs to be able to come here in person with all furry family members and humans (big and small). I am a solid 55 lbs and probably could lose a pound or two but that's not much fun. I can still run, play and jump just fine :) If you are interested in being my FURever home, please fill out an application at forrescue.net

Story
Marmaduke is a big goofy lovebug! He adores children and other dogs. He is very curious about cats and chickens and is probably best in a home without those (or where he can be separated from them). He is about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is healed from that but needs 24/7 dog door access - he is doggie door trained. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them. If you are interested in Marmaduke, please fill out an application at our website: forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and we have determined because of his need for 24/7 dog door access he should be adopted locally in case an adopter cannot manage his condition and he must return to the rescue. We only want what is best for this amazingly sweet boy!

Story
Deaf Dogs Rock!!! The amazing love, attention, loyalty and rewards far exceed the special care and needs they have. If you have a heart for the special needs and want to be rewarded 10,000 times beyond, consider adopting this precious boy. Derek is about 9ish months old and 45ish lbs but he may grow a tad more. He came from a very small rural shelter where his chances of getting out safely were slim. He LOVES to play with other dogs, lives for attention and scratches from his human, and is 110% typical velcro aussie. He needs someone that is willing to work patiently with him to learn hand signals so he better understands how to please you (that's all he wants to do). He is learning house training but has not yet mastered it (he is close - it's the excited piddles that get him). He must have a securely fenced in yard (non negotiable) and another playmate would be great. His human needs to have the time to spend with him to train him while he is still young, so he is an even more perfect adult aussie. As an aussie, he has energy and needs to be able to run and play. Derek is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and any adopter must come here to meet him. If you think you could be Derek's FURever home, please apply at forrescue.net

Story
Meet your pocket-sized adventure buddy! With her bright blue eyes, adorable little “meerkat” stance, and endless curiosity, Mina turns heads everywhere she goes. She may be small, but she is packed with personality, energy, and all the classic traits of a herding breed. She is looking for someone who wants a partner for hikes, adventures, training, dog sports, or other activities that keep her physically and mentally stimulated—not just a couch companion. She loves to cuddle with her favorite people, adores toys, and has even shown signs that she may enjoy water activities. She is crate trained, settles quietly in her crate, and appears to be house trained, happily using a dog door to let herself outside. Mina’s foster is working with her on training, but she is still a smart, spirited girl who needs continued guidance. True to her herding instincts, she does try to herd children, so her perfect home will currently have older kids only. She can become protective of her favorite person around other dogs and may try to keep them at a distance. She also gets mouthy when she is overly excited, so older children are the best fit for her. She is happiest with confident dogs that will set appropriate boundaries and not let her boss them around. Once another dog shows her the rules, she is quick to relax and join the fun. Mina would do best with similarly sized or larger dog companions. Mina is very curious about cats and would need a home willing to provide guidance, supervision, and continued training around them. If you are looking for a tiny dog with a huge personality, an adventurous spirit, and a heart that loves deeply, Mina just might be your perfect match. Her $300 adoption fee covers spay, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and microchip. Apply at FullCircleRescueAndSanctuary.com.
