Story
Meet Nilly of the Willy-Nilly Twins! 🐾 Nilly is a handsome, goofy, smart, and playful 1-year-old who’s the perfect combination of his breeds—loyal, affectionate, and always ready for an adventure. He loves stretching his long legs on walks, running and playing with his four-legged foster siblings, and helping his brother Willy “herd” the young human as he races around the house on a scooter or tears through the yard. Wherever the fun is, Nilly wants to be part of it! After he’s burned off his energy, you’ll often find him napping in his signature full-on sploot, with all four legs stretched out, bringing smiles to everyone around him. Or, if given the chance, he’ll happily curl up right beside you for a well-earned snooze. Nilly is crate trained, house trained, and has excellent recall. He’s lived happily with dogs and people of all ages and will gladly accompany you wherever you go—room to room, always nearby, and quite possibly leaning against you just because he can. 😉 While he’ll let you know when someone new arrives, it doesn’t take long before they’re added to his growing list of friends. Nilly and his brother Willy were abandoned as adolescent puppies, so they know what it’s like to be overlooked. Despite that, Nilly’s heart is full of love and hope. He’s ready to devote himself completely to a family of his own, and in return, he’ll reward them with years of unwavering loyalty, laughter, and unconditional love. Could Nilly be the missing piece your family has been waiting for? Story
Meet Willy 🐾 (Formerly known as North—but that name never fit his personality!) You don’t have to adopt Willy-nilly… but we have a feeling you’ll fall for Willy pretty quickly. Willy is equal parts athlete, cuddle bug, and class clown. He’s always ready for a car ride, a trip to the dog park (or any park!), or a game of chase with his foster kid as they zoom around the living room on a scooter. He also has a hilarious habit of running full speed into walls, chairs, or occasionally even you while he’s playing—always providing plenty of laughs. He might sound the alarm with a big bark when someone unexpected arrives, but don’t let that fool you. It usually takes less than 10 seconds before he’s trying to convince that “stranger” to pet him. Willy genuinely loves everyone! He’s still working on keeping all four paws on the ground when greeting new friends, though it doesn’t help that he has a few overly enthusiastic canine roommates setting some pretty questionable examples. When playtime is over, you’ll usually find Willy snoozing in his signature position—flat on his back with all four paws sticking straight up in the air, completely carefree—or curled up beside you for a cuddle. Willy is crate trained, house trained, rides wonderfully in the car, and has lived successfully with other dogs, children, teenagers, and even chickens. After being abandoned as an adolescent puppy alongside his brother, Nilly, Willy spent far too long waiting in boarding before finally getting his chance in foster care. Now this handsome, perfectly sized young dog is more than ready for what he’s wanted all along: a family to grow old with, a couch to call his own, and someone to love with his whole goofy heart. Could that family be yours? ❤️ If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.cognitoforms.com/DixieGirl1/PetAdoptionApplicationForm2 Most of our are pets are fostered in Southern foster homes and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Story
Hi! I'm Delilah! I am a happy, playful, young aussie girl who would LOVE to find my FURever home to spoil me like the princess I am. I am a dominant female and am fine with male dogs and submissive females so please don't expect me to live with a bossy girl :) I am the epitome of velcro Aussie and I promise you will never do anything alone, ever. I will also help you with any and e very chore you try to do around the house and make sure I give it my inspection too. I am totally house trained but do like to chew on my soft toys and an occasional blanket or pillow but that is rare. I am a little shy and nervous at first so need a patient family to let me settle at my own speed. Older children will be best as the young ones may move too quickly or not know how to respect my space as I adjust. I am fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and anyone interested in meeting me needs to be able to come here in person with all furry family members and humans (big and small). I am a solid 55 lbs and probably could lose a pound or two but that's not much fun. I can still run, play and jump just fine :) If you are interested in being my FURever home, please fill out an application at forrescue.net

Story
Marmaduke is a big goofy lovebug! He adores children and other dogs. He is very curious about cats and chickens and is probably best in a home without those (or where he can be separated from them). He is about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is healed from that but needs 24/7 dog door access - he is doggie door trained. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them. If you are interested in Marmaduke, please fill out an application at our website: forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and we have determined because of his need for 24/7 dog door access he should be adopted locally in case an adopter cannot manage his condition and he must return to the rescue. We only want what is best for this amazingly sweet boy!
