Meet Sky, the sweetest Aussie mix who truly embodies what it means to be a rescue dog. Sky was a stray for the first few years of her life. She survived off very little; the roof over her head was literally the sky. She had multiple litters in the woods, and most of the puppies didn’t survive. Her world completely changed when a foster learned about her situation and took in her and her single surviving puppy. Sky is approximately 3 years old now and looking for a forever home that will give her all the love she missed out on for the first part of her life. Sky is a gem! She is truly amazing around all other dogs, and we’d prefer for her to have another dog in her forever home. She also loves children and cats. She can be a little shy around new people but will warm up quickly. She’s just a very calm, gentle dog. Sky enjoys going for walks and is great on a leash. She is completely neutral to everything out in the world. She does have some impressive fence jumping skills, so a yard with a privacy fence would be preferable. But Sky isn’t a flight risk, so she won’t go far if she were to hop a fence. Sky is truly a wonderful dog who would be forever grateful to the family that gives her a forever home.
