Story
Bryce is a very loving, energetic, and happy boy. He was found on the streets by a dog foster mom and we have had him for a few months. He loves to play with our other dog but also has a tendency to resource guard and dominate her so he can get more food. He is house trained, knows basic commands such as sit, lay down, and come (when he wants to), and is great on leash even though he is very excited to meet other people and dogs. He is gentle around kids and loves any attention he can get. He loves scratches on his fluffy butt and will happily wiggle it all day. We are looking to rehome him due to time constraints and won't be able to give him the attention and time he needs as well as our main dog not always getting along with him when we are not present. He is a great family dog and would love one that can give him the love he deserves.

Story
Hi, my name is Balou and I’m looking for a new owner to live. I’m an 11-year-old cattle dog (Australian Sheppard, Queensland Heeler, Short Haired Border Collie), which means I’m smart and have lots of energy! I’ve been a loyal pet to my family since I was a puppy, but now they have a toddler, which isn’t the right fit for me. If you have experience with protective dogs, don’t have kids, have a yard, and would love an eager companion for walks, I could be the right dog for you! I’m also an excellent guard dog for my people, home and property.

Story
We rescued her as a gift for my husband at Christmas. She is very skittish and it took her a few months to warm up to the family (me and our 3 teenage girls) but she is still skittish around my husband and she is so afraid when friends or guests come over (even ones she has previously warmed up to) that she hides in her kennel. She is GREAT with our other 2 dogs and she loves me. We were told by the people we adopted her from that she is great with cats too. She has never been aggressive or dominant but she is shy. She is very playful (when she isn't anxious/shy) and is really still a puppy. We were told she was 7 months old when we adopted her December. We have a very busy and active home with lots of friends of the kids' and family visiting often. I think this environment is too stressful for her. She would do great in a home with other friendly dogs (and possibly cats) but that isn't so busy with people. She is a great size - 40 pounds. She's a mixed breed.

Story
We do daycare and boarding in our home. We first got Ray as a client but the owners died and Ray was passed to a family member who couldn't care for him so he was left with us. We are not a good fit for pups who need a forever home. Too much stimulation and too many dogs coming and going. We did find a terrific home for him but as it turns out he fear nips strangers coming into the home. We weren't aware of the extent of this behavior. He needs to be in a home where he can be trained to stay on his mark and where he can begin to relax into a normal routine. He's a wonderful smart dog full of energy and love. We are heartbroken at the thought of him going to a shelter but we've kept him as long as we can and as I said this isn't a stable environment for any dog to call home. We've had him now for several months and he's beginning to act out. I'm praying someone has the patience and the love Ray needs as he deserves no less. Thank you for reading.

Story
This is Lyric, and I find myself singing, “You are my Sunshine”, when she’s playing with her ball.  She gets so excited when we go outside because she knows it’s “BALL TIME”!  Now, I only get to throw it once, but she’s off like a shot and does come back with it—but doesn’t want to drop it—yet.  She circles me in a little dance making sure I see that she has it, then waits while I throw a ball for another dog and she runs after him—she doesn’t want his ball—she just wants to make sure he gets it and brings it back so she can run after him again.  Lyric can be shy at first but she warms up and is very sweet and such a great dog. She loves touch and will indicate when a belly rub is needed.  She listens well and has had 6 weeks of training to help build her confidence at The Complete Canine...   She loves all the dogs, big or little—and initiates play with all of them. She will definitely need a dog friend. At obedience class she was sad that she couldn’t visit every dog there whenever she wanted to.  A secure backyard is essential.  She is also excited when someone spies a lizard and takes off after it.  She doesn’t need to know what’s being chased, she just joins in wholeheartedly.    Lyric is completely housebroken—never had an accident in the house, and she’s crate trained and sleeps peacefully through the night in her crate.  According to her last weigh-in she’s 56 lbs. and she is 5 years old. She has very long legs and (warning) can reach things she shouldn’t from counters and tables. She would do best with an active, attentive, family, prepared to offer her reward-based, loving, patient instruction. She’ll need doggy friends, for sure! Older kids would be good—I think she’d like younger kids, too, but she’s big and sometimes doesn’t look where she’s going, so might be too much for smaller children. I’ve never heard her growl or seen her bare her teeth.   We did her DNA and she’s got some great smart genes, promising an amazing potential with the proper guidance.  There are the three main breeds, Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, and Australian Cattle Dog, (making up about 75%). She does have some arthritis in her back legs, but it doesn’t stop her from running like mad and jumping 3 feet into the air to catch a ball. She takes a pill twice a day—very reasonably priced that keeps her arthritis in check. She loves her people, food, other dogs, and especially tennis balls!   To see this lovely lady please go to our website to fill out an adoption application www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com   Lyric is adoptable to homes in Tucson, Marana, Catalina, Sahuarita and Oro Valley only. Her adoption fee is $250 with an additional $21 for PACC licensing. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed.      *Applications to adopt: wwwTucsonColdWetNoses.com Home Visit / ID and Residence Verification is required.  Compliance does not imply or guarantee adoption.   Approval is the sole discretion of CWN representative(s). Tommy has been said to LOVE the kids in his home. He is a very good boy, takes his meds well, loves going on walks and lounging in the backyard. He is great on leash and in the car. He has hypothyroidism and is on a medication for life but that doesn`t stop him! He has lost a great deal of weight while in foster and each pound he loses he feels better and better!

Ranger is a little over a year old. He comes from Seattle and is beyond playful and loving! He will need a family who will give him all the attention in the world, as he loves it. A house with a yard or super active parents/family is definitely needed for him.
