    This is Diego. He's an 11 month old Aussie mix that needs a foster home. He was a "free dog" online and the original owners did not represent him honestly with the new owners. Things are not working out and he needs to be properly placed (after full vetting). He is scheduled dor neuter on Tuesday. We hope to have a foster in place by then. He's great with his people and FEMALE dogs. His behavior around cats is unknown because the family does not have cats. There was a pretty bad fight between Diego and the senior male dog in this family. Since the fight the family has been distrusting of his behavior around the four-year-old as well so to be safe they have kept them separate. This is why he has to go. For this reason, we do not want him fostered with male dogs until he has been vetted and properly evaluated. We also do not feel that he should be placed in a home with young children until vetting and evaluation. He's a beautiful boy and deserves a happily ever after. We can help him find it!! It may well be he just needs his testosterone to be taken care of. Many dogs settle down after neuter and it's never fair to these animals when the original owners do not divulge all the information to the new owners. We feel this is a combination of situations that has just worked against Diego. His love for walking, chasing after a ball, and indulging in some bone-chewing sessions is truly delightful to witness. Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- St. Petersburg, FL Meet Stella! She is an 8-year-old Australian Shepherd and weighs between 65-70 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Stella is nervous around strangers, especially men! She is good with cats and dogs! Stella would do best in a home with one other dog or as the only dog, because she prefers her alone time and having the attention focused on her. She hasn’t been tested around children. Stella is given 40 mg of Prozac daily and allergy medication as needed. The owner is surrendering her because they are unable to care for her financially. They also are unable to provide the time and attention that she needs. She needs to go by 4/30! If you think you can provide a great home for Stella, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Stella.
