Story
Lola is an eight year old Australian Shepard Collie. She likes to be outside, but cannot run for long distances, since it will hurt her hips. She is a great security dog and loves to cuddle. She does well with cats and other dogs. However, she does not do well with small children.

Story
Gemini Zod is a charismatic Aussie mix with a unique blend of charm and energy. This adorable pup came to us initially shy and scared, but it took just a couple of days for him to reveal the true star within. Gemini Zod has transformed into an outgoing and charismatic companion. His big personality shines through, bringing joy and laughter to those around him. Gemini Zod enjoys an extremely active lifestyle. His love for walking, chasing after a ball, and indulging in some bone-chewing sessions is truly delightful to witness. But the real show-stopper is when he decides it's time for zoomies – his playful sprints and twists are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Gemini Zod is seeking a home that appreciates his lively spirit and is ready to provide the love and engagement he craves. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $600 and you can adopt me at WWW.POLKADOGZ.ORG ##1944377##

Story
Apollo is 6 years old. I originally got him from this site in 2020 after my wife passed away. He is a great dog for a single person very loving and attentive. He gets along well with kids (he plays with my great granddaughter who is 4) and adults. he is also a good guard dog and lets me know when anyone is around. I really hate to give him up but find myself in a situation where I have to downsize and will not have the area for him. He is very playful and loves to play keep away with a ball. He currently has a fenced in back yard and a doggy door which allows him to go in and out as he pleases. He is trained to standard commands sit, stay, stop, no jump.

Story
This is Diego. He's an 11 month old Aussie mix that needs a foster home. He was a "free dog" online and the original owners did not represent him honestly with the new owners. Things are not working out and he needs to be properly placed (after full vetting). He is scheduled dor neuter on Tuesday. We hope to have a foster in place by then. He's great with his people and FEMALE dogs. His behavior around cats is unknown because the family does not have cats. There was a pretty bad fight between Diego and the senior male dog in this family. Since the fight the family has been distrusting of his behavior around the four-year-old as well so to be safe they have kept them separate. This is why he has to go. For this reason, we do not want him fostered with male dogs until he has been vetted and properly evaluated. We also do not feel that he should be placed in a home with young children until vetting and evaluation. He's a beautiful boy and deserves a happily ever after. We can help him find it!! It may well be he just needs his testosterone to be taken care of. Many dogs settle down after neuter and it's never fair to these animals when the original owners do not divulge all the information to the new owners. We feel this is a combination of situations that has just worked against Diego. Foster application can be filled out through this link: https://petstablished.com/foster_form/31711/generic If you fill out a foster application please give our director a heads up as we do not have a volunteer readily responding to applications at this time. It helps us to know that one has been submitted. You may text Aspen at 352-843-6858 ##1357659##

Story
Charlie is a good boy. He has a lot going for him!! *Basic obedience *Housebroken *Good with kids *Good with dogs *Neutered *Up to Date on Vax *Australian Shepherd mix Charlie really doesn't have any strikes against him. But there are a few NO-NO'S for Charlie... he is a high-energy herding breed and NOT appropriate for the very young children he lives with. He hasn't done anything wrong but the family is wisely identifying the problems BEFORE they escalate (which they WILL once the children walk and run). Charlie is also not good around cats and small animals. Those are his limitations and we can respect that. He is currently living with two children (under 2) and needs to be rehomed or taken into a reputable rescue. Our rescue has no available foster homes... but what we CAN do is share Charlie's story. We can also assist by screening potential adoptive families and representing Charlie through our adoption search engines. We offer Charlie an "umbrella" of sorts. We want to help and this is how we can. Please submit the dog adoption application, linked below, if you would like to be considered: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/31712/generic This is a bit of a "post script rant" but it needs to be said... It's always so important, when properly placing a dog, to not set the dog up for failure. And most importantly... keep everyone SAFE. It is for this reason that we embrace surrendering owners. It is not our place to disparage them. We exist in the utilitarian capacity of HELPING THE ANIMAL. We cannot and do not serve the animals if we waste our time and energy pointing fingers and shaming owners. We want to fully support that animal in their important next step. And we must all be on the #sameteam if we are to accomplish that. Located in Ocala FL ##1860812##

Story
Teddy is a show dog. Not made to work as much as he was made to look pretty. He is a small Aussie and his family has to rehome him. He gets along great with the medium female dog but there is a dominance struggle happening between Teddy and the family's old dog (an.8 yr old great Pyrenees). They.are concerned that their child will get injured someday by fighting dogs. We completely understand.     He is a great family.dog. a full beautiful coat. He LOVES to ride and play. He just needs the right home.  Dog Adoption: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/31712/generic ##2003744##
