Toby also needs an owner with an active lifestyle who can help him get all his energy out everyday and also requires a home with a fenced in backyard! Here's the truth of it: Toby has a bite history. Toby will be very loyal and friendly to his family he knows but he WILL display protective behaviors when visitors come over and if not crated or kept on leash will bite them. Story
I am a 7 year old Aussie born in Utah. I was adopted as a puppy, trained, and have traveled around the US with my family . I love the outdoors and long hikes where I can be off leash. I am pretty great with recall, I know tricks and am house trained. I am an amazing companion dog for someone who has lots of land, or needs a working dog. I am smart, loyal, and protective. Unfortunately, I have had behavioral issues since I was a puppy. I am scared to be alone and will bite doors when they are closed in front of me. I am reactive, and have a few triggers, like the word “bye” and to physical objects, like plastic bags. My family thinks I have a hard time differentiating from non- threats and true threats. I’ve tried crate training, and other forms of positive reinforcement at home, but it hasn’t worked very well. My family are unable to get me the professional help I need right now and they want me to go to a good home who can help me get better!
