Story
Meet Layla! She is a 5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix we have available for adoption. Layla has lived outside most of her life and is unfortunately Heartworm & Lyme-positive. We will be covering the cost for her to be treated. Her future home should have a large yard for her to run in, given it's what she's used to! Layla is a gentle girl who is very easy to walk on a leash. She will be an enjoyable partner to take on walks. Layla is so affectionate and will gladly plop right next to you for some belly rubs. She is so sweet. We have yet to test her with other dogs, but she does seem interested in them. She could potentially go home with another dog as long as it's a good match! Layla is excited to meet you!

Story
Rocky has been with me since he was a puppy. Just turned 1 on May 21st! He is a very lovely, most energetic, playful dog you can imagine! Therefore, he does need a lot of SPACE and ATTENTION (He is potty trained. Is good with small dogs, can’t say much about bigger dogs.)

***In order to alleviate the need to bring an animal into the shelter environment, The Anti-Cruelty Society has the Home-to-Home Shelter Bypass service to help people find new accommodations for their pets privately. These animals are not located in any of the Society's physical locations. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please do NOT click the Adopt Me button and instead reach out to the current owner directly via the email provided in the profile. As this is a Home-to-Home animal you are not required to fill out an Anti-Cruelty Society adoption application form. ***Blossom is a three-year-old female Australian Shepherd around 43 pounds. Her birthday is 2/16/2021. I got her from a reputable breeder in southern Illinois. Unfortunately, solely due to some unforeseen home issues I have to rehome her. She will truly be your best friend as she is mine. Blossom has quite the personality, for better or for worse. She is fully house trained and whines at the door. It might take some getting used to for a couple days, but she shouldn't really have any accidents after that. She has no bite history; however, she is very reactive. Because of this reactivity she barks a lot. She also does not like very small dogs or small children so I would recommend dogs her size, children over 7, and no cats or other small animals. She is not aggressive with other dogs, however if they are also reactive, she does not like that. So, if there were to be other dogs in the house, they would have to be calmer. She currently lives in a house with 2 other dogs. Both of which she gets along perfectly fine with. However, one of the other dogs and her got into a really bad fight, absolutely NO fault to blossom. This has made her kind of wary of big dogs as it was a Great Dane that bit her. She has no medical history and has always been in great health and up to date on vaccines. She is also on no dietary restrictions (she's very bad with food). She is quite the puller on walks for about the first 20 minutes or so but after that she walks very well, and I have even taken her on a few runs, and she does well with that also. I have no doubt with proper training and exercise she get rid of some of these habits as she is an extremely quick learner and just needs someone to keep up with her energy. Story
Jake is a goofy, handsome, friendly, social guy looking for a loving family! This sweet boy was rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky. He appears to be a mix of several shepherd and herding breeds, with the possibility of some hound mixed in for good measure! Jake is estimated to be around two years old and weighs about 40 pounds. A great medium size, not too large, not too small! Jake is a happy dog that is very excited about life! He loves making new friends and LOVES other dogs. Ted is a total wiggle-butt of a dog! His tail is in constant motion, and he always has a smile on his face. It appears he has not had much training and can still be a bit rambunctious when excited, so homes with older children who will not be knocked over by his exuberant greetings will be the best match for him. Jake's ideal home will be with guardians who can help him work on his manners and some basic obedience, as well as guardians who can provide him with lots of exercise and playtime throughout the day. He is crate-trained and does well with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. Jake is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccines, and started on flea and heartworm prevention. Jake is currently in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment only after an application has been submitted and approved. For more information or an application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit palsplacerescue.org • Jake's adoption fee is $375. Story
Ashton was returned to Mag Mutts due to a change in the family which did allow the time to spend with him which made for long days in his crate. He is just over a year old, about 65lbs and has a gorgeous, slick black coat. Ashton's whole world has been turned upside down and he can be a little nervous so will need an adopter with patience to allow him time to settle (the 3-3-3 rule applies to Ashton). He would love a person, couple or family to spend time with him and would do best as the only dog in the home.  He would make a great candidate for obedience training to improve his confidence and for bonding with his new family.  More information to come as he settles into his foster home!     **Breed or size (once fully grown) is a 'best guess' and is not guaranteed since they arrived into rescue without either parent. **Magnificent Mutts is an all foster home based rescue and meets are held by appointment with the entire family in attendance. Please ensure your current pets are up to date with vetting, have landlord/HOA approval and are prepared to take your new family member home at the adoption appointment.  Thank you for your interest!                    If you are interested in adoption, please complete the "Application to Adopt" which can be accessed from this link: (   www.magnificentmutts.org )  No phone calls please, emails only.
