Meet Archer! He is an 7 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 65 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Archer is nervous around strangers! He is good with older children and cats! No younger children or dogs, due to his reactivity! The owner is surrendering him because he recently gave a warning snap at their 1 year old son. He needs to find his new furever home as soon as possible. If you think you can provide a great home for Archer, please contact the owner listed below. There is a rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Archer. Story
Jake is a goofy, handsome, friendly, social guy looking for a loving family! This sweet boy was rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural Kentucky. He appears to be a mix of several shepherd and herding breeds, with some Beagle or other hound breed possibly mixed in for good measure! Jake is estimated to be around two years old and weighs about 40 pounds. A great medium size, not too large, not too small! Jake is a happy dog that is very excited about life! He loves making new friends and he loves other dogs. Jake is a total wiggle-butt of a dog! His tail is in constant motion, and he always has a smile on his face. It appears he has not had much training and can still be enthusiastic in his greetings and when excited, but he settles down quickly. Jake's ideal home will be with guardians who can help him work on his manners and some basic obedience, as well as guardians who can provide him with lots of exercise and playtime throughout the day. He is crate-trained and does well with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. Jake is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccines, and started on flea and heartworm prevention. Jake is currently in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment only after an application has been submitted and approved. For more information or an application, please email palsplace1@hotmail.com or visit palsplacerescue.org • Jake's adoption fee is $375. This donation helps to cover any necessary medical care to prepare him for adoption. Pal's Place relies solely on donations to care for the animals in our rescue. Your donation also helps save other animals like Jake from euthanasia. • Please email Palsplace1@hotmail.com for an adoption application and put the dog's name in the subject line. Please check your spam/junk folder; sometimes, the applications end up there! • All of our dogs are in foster homes and can be seen BY APPOINTMENT ONLY after an approved application has been submitted and approved. Story
Violet and her 7 siblings were abandoned in a box in Mississippi. They were found and cared for by a Good Samaritan. They are now ready to find their forever homes! According to her foster family:"Violet is a sweetheart! She is 9 months old and still plays like a puppy. She quietly sleeps through the night in her crate. She is very smart and catches on to commands quickly. She has not had any accidents in my house and I would say she housetrained. She just wants to love and be loved. Violet gets along with our dog, so could be in a home with another dog or by herself. On walks, she doesn't pull, she likes to stop often to sniff. She would make a great addition to any family"! ------------------------------------------------------------------THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN SAVING A LIFE!Volunteers and staff are excited to assist you in the adoption process! Story
Ace is a high energy 9 month old Australian Kelpie looking for a good home. He is house trained and has received a bit of crate and behavioral training. He needs an owner that has time for his high energy and high intelligence who is active and willing to teach him and keep him engaged. He is extremely loving always looking for affection and companionship. He has no history of aggression and currently gets up to an hour of exercise and play time everyday. Ace is still a puppy so he can be a bit mouthy but, has been around my young nephews ages 11 and 8 who are pretty rough and tumble and was good around them. However, as his owner I currently don’t have enough time to look after Ace and I believe he deserves a better home. Ace comes with a 36 in crate, elevated stainless steel dog bowls, a few of his favorite toys, and a shedding brush. He only needs to be brushed 1-2 times a week to keep his chocolate coat nice and clean accompanied by a bath every couple months/ as needed

Story
Ursula here! I’m as excited to tell you about myself, as I am to meet you. I say that because whether it be a dog, cat, or human, I have never met a stranger. My foster home consists of canines, felines, and my favorite thing ever…kids! I live with two other dogs currently and my playstyle can be described as submissive. I love to romp around and play but I’m gentle when I get to wrestling. I love going on walks and I have worked hard to master my leash skills. I love riding in a car and I’m calm as a co-pilot. I also sleep quietly in my kennel each night and will wake you up with a smile each morning, This blue-eyed gal cannot wait to find her forever family….is that you?

Story
Edgar doesn't care much for toys, but he does love a good game of fetch with a ball. He can often be found walking around with his favorite ball in mouth. He's house trained and crate trained. No complaints when you leave him alone. He loves taking walks and is a pro on leash. If you like to take long drives, Edgar will be right with you, he's great in the car. Edgar will grunt and spin when he wants attention - which often leads to belly rubs. Edgar is a sweet, snuggly boy who would do best in a single adult home and for now, with no other pets. No kids for Edgar, please. If you want to meet this big boy in a little boy frame, apply to adopt Edgar!
