Louie is a large, sweet, shy boy. He came in as a stray from Jamestown. He entered the rescue as a dog who tried to hide in the corner. Now he waits for a volunteer to hook him up to a leash for walks. He is great on leash. He has warmed up to the volunteers at the rescue. Still a bit nervous, but very interested in other dogs. He will require a patient person to continue to bring out his personality. Being a stray, we don't know if he is housetrained or crate trained. Meet Aussie — a 6-month-old Australian Shepherd! 🐾 Aussie is a beautiful, highly intelligent young dog with lots of energy. We are looking for an active and responsible home that will provide her with exercise, continued training, and patient guidance as she learns more about the world. Aussie: * shows no aggression, * does not guard food, toys, or other resources, * gets along well with both small and large dogs, * is good with cats, * loves people, * is extremely intelligent and learns new things very quickly, * is comfortable spending time in a crate, * would do best in a home with children over 8 years old because she is very energetic. Aussie is quite independent and does not yet really know how to cuddle. She needs time, patience, and a person who will show her that closeness can be safe and enjoyable. She is about 50% trained on a leash, so she still needs calm and consistent practice. She is not yet used to city life, noise, or busy surroundings, but with the right person, she should adjust quickly. Aussie does not jump over fences. However, if a gate is left open, she may run away. For this reason, the yard must be securely fenced, and extra caution is needed when opening doors or gates. Aussie is looking for a home that will provide her with activity, regular walks, training, and continued socialization. In return, she will be a wonderful, loyal, and incredibly smart companion. I adopted Sadie from an animal shelter and she was only 2.5 months old at the time. At the shelter they said she is a border collie poodle mix. My girlfriend and I were hoping for a low shedding dog because she has severe pet allergies. Sadie is unfortunately not low shedding which is why we are looking to rehome her. Sadie is now about 1.5 years old, has a lot of energy and love. She loves playing fetch in the yard and she is very friendly with other dogs so she would be great for a household with another dog or an active person. She is house trained and knows basic commands- sit, lay down, paw, and leave it. She’s never shown any signs of aggression and doesn’t really bark. With most people she is good at staying down, sometimes she gets overly excited and can try to jump up to say hi. I haven’t introduced her to many children but she is smart and I think would be great with kids over time. She’s an awesome dog and we are heartbroken we have to rehome her.

It breaks my heart to make this decision, but I'm looking to rehome my 6-year-old dog. I've had him since he was just 4 months old, and he has been a wonderful part of our family. He is great with kids, loves people, and enjoys being around his family. He's a sweet, loyal dog who deserves more time and attention than my current schedule allows me to give. He would do best with someone who enjoys daily walks, playtime, and has the patience to work through a few goofy habits. Like many dogs, he likes to "trash dive" if given the chance and will try to eat just about anything he finds, so he needs an owner who can keep an eye on him and continue reinforcing good habits. This isn't an easy decision, and I'm only looking for a loving, patient home where he'll get the exercise, attention, and care he deserves. My priority is finding the right person or family who will love him as much as we have.
