Story
Max is a purebred Australian Shepherd and 3 years old. He is fully housebroken. Definitely a velcro dog. Hes so very sweet and funny in our home. He REQUIRES a fenced in yard to run off his energy. He loves kids but doesn't know how big he is, so they do tend to get knocked down, so very little ones wouldn't be ideal. He plays hard and can jump VERY high. He needs an Aussie lover because they're "special" dogs. Needs serious training!! NOT for the inexperienced dog owner. Thank you for your consideration. I WILL EMAIL YOU IN RESPONSE TO AN APPLICATION TO START THE PROCESS OF MEETING SO LOOK FOR THAT EMAIL PLEASE. He is a VERY high flight risk.... He will and would love to just run out the door at any chance. We tried training methods and they've not worked on that issue. Zero recall. Zero time with other dogs. Very reactive in general.

BuckAustralian Shepherd8 years old63 poundsI was a transfer in from another shelter that was full.According to previous owners, he is house broke. Does well with young to middle aged children. Likes it when people are home with him. He gets a little anxious when left alone for long periods of time.Would do best as an only dog. He likes all the attention and can get jealous when sharing it with another dog. Here he was tested for tick diseases and is Ehrlichia positive. He is asymptomatic at this time. But this issue may need to be addressed in the future.

Story
High energy. Crate trained. Loves walks or runs more but he pulls a lot. Would be amazing with a person who has a big yard with fence or something like that. He’s 5. He loves belly rubs and treats and will eat anything. Chases cats but doesn’t hurt them. He just wants to chase something I think. But he is a good boy. Does bark when he wants something. Likes fetch. He’s territorial over his crate sometimes, it really depends on your energy.

Story
Meet the Southern boys 🏎️ 🤠 🏎️ Bo and Luke are father and son found dumped at a busy Kentucky rest stop. They were covered in ticks when they were picked up by their fosters. Our best guess on breed is Australian shepherd mixes. 🏎️ Luke is approximately 2 years old. Luke is the kind of dog that steals hearts without even trying. He's gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he's close to his people. Whether you're watching TV, working in the yard, or just relaxing on the couch, Luke wants to be part of whatever you're doing. Leash walking is a work in progress. He doesn’t quite understand what it is yet but with consistency, he is starting to get the hang of it. Luke gets along fine with other dogs with slow introductions, he has not met any cats yet. 🏎️Both boys are VERY treat motivated and learn super quick. They are both working on potty training are already making great strides. They both easily go to their kennel especially if you have treats in your hand.🏎️The boys have started their vaccinations. Luke is scheduled to be neutered on 6/30. Bo will be neutered at a later date when he is old enough. The boys are not bonded and do not need to go together. 🏎️A rest stop was never meant to be their destination. Let's help find these boys their forever homes! If one or both of these southern boys have stolen your hearts, apply to adopt atwww.pawsofadamscounty.com/adoption-foster-appWhen applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Only complete applications will be considered. Thank you for considering adopting!Feel free to message us for more details!www.pawsofadamscounty.com
