Eve was adopted from the Kentucky Humane Society when she was 1 years old. We've had Eve for 10 years. When we adopted her, we also did have an adult male cat and Eve did well living with a cat. Eve has also been great with our son, who is now 3 years old. Eve has done well with other dogs but has always been the only dog in the household. She is trained and knows some commands and tricks. She enjoys playing and snuggling.

Hi! I’m Sadie. I am a four year old purebred Australian Shepherd. I love walks outside, exploring new places, and meeting new people to play with. If you have another dog or even a cat, I am quick to adapt and we will get along great. All of my vaccines are up to date and all that’s left to do is have me spayed. Would you consider adopting me as a part of your family?

Story
It`s Fall Y`all came into the shelter a very scared little pup. His foster family has learned that outside of the shelter environment, he’s a happy-go-lucky guy that thrives on attention! He wants to be in your lap or beside you. He loves the chase aspect of fetch, but doesn’t quite realize yet he needs to bring the toy back to you in order to keep playing:) He’s a HUGE smiler—he just grins all the time! He loves his canine foster brother, tolerates the cat in the home and loves the 5-year old human too! Dogs over 40 pounds are always FREE. Adoptions include spay/neuter, up-to-date shots, one free training session with Micky`s House, one month free membership @ PG&J`s dog park, and more! CHAMPION dogs come with extra perks! Core vaccines for 3 years, Lifetime Jefferson County pet license, freedom harness with leash, bag of starter food, six months of heartworm preventative, and crate upon request! Story
*This dog doesn’t belong to ASF and hasn’t been evaluated by ASF.* Meet Cooper! He is an 8-year-old Miniature American Shepherd and weighs around 20 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on shots (he is allergic to the rabies and DHPP vaccines) but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Cooper is nervous around strangers! He hasn’t been tested around younger children. He is good with older children and cats. He is good with the other dogs inside of the home but is nervous around dogs outside of the home! He isn’t housebroken or crate trained. The owner is surrendering him because her other dog doesn’t get along with him. He needs to go ASAP! If you think you can provide a great home for Cooper, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Cooper. Owner’s Contact Information: Jessica jessicakaylett@yahoo.com

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Daisy is an affectionate 8-year old Rottweiler/border collie mix who loves people, dogs, and even cats! As an older dog, she is content to lie by your side on a rainy day but has plenty of energy for walks or playing fetch. She is housetrained, sleeps through the night, and doesn't need a crate when left alone. Daisy knows her basic commands but is still working on her recall, so she should be kept on a leash or in a fenced area. Daisy is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, has recently had her teeth cleaned, and has no food or toy aggression. We are fostering Daisy after her previous owners could no longer keep her. She once nipped at a young child who pulled her ears, but otherwise has had no other behavioral issues. Daisy would thrive in a home with another dog for companionship and an owner who enjoys bringing her along for adventures. If you're looking for a sweet dog who is too big to sit in your lap (but tries anyway), Daisy is your girl!

Story
This handsome guy is Pretzel!! a super sweet, lovable and energetic guy!! Pretzel came to stay with us at the end June. We brought him home so he wouldn't have to go back to the shelter. We have spent time working with him and really getting to know his personality.... And it's a great one! We have 2 dogs or our own and he abso loves his buddies. We have a cat but he doesn't really chill near the dogs, however in the few interactions they had Pretzel has shown no aggression but wants to play in a way the cat doesn't care for. Unfortunately due to now fault of his own pretzel is not a good long term fit for us. our child is autistic and just cannot seem to warm to Pretzel. He was estimated to be about a year old is fixed and current on all vaccinations. Pretzel has a lot of energy but also loves to cuddle up on the couch. He is still a puppy and is learning, he does chew a bit. we have been able to curb this behavior with appropriate toys.
