He is current on vaccinations and will be neutered prior to adoption. His story is nothing short of miraculous. Ken was saved minutes before euthanasia at a Tennessee shelter. He knows he got a second chance, and he lives every moment with gratitude and tail wags. Right now, he’s in paid boarding, but to him it feels too much like the shelter he narrowly escaped. He’s ready for a real home — a soft bed, a loving human, and the safety he’s never truly had. Ken is handsome, social, and so eager to bond. Newman loves water so if you are a water baby yourself he’s going to love it! At the very least a kiddy pool will be wonderful for him! He is also good at riding in the car now. He loves to play with other dogs and will initiate it with the other dogs in his foster home, has very good energy. Super smart, he’s already learned the doggy door at his foster home, so he will go outside to use the bathroom, he is learning to not jump up, sometimes his excitement gets the better of him, but he’s making great progress, he’s shaping up into a great dog. An active family, that will play with him would be great, older kids probably as he may knock smaller ones over when he is playing. Playing and attention is all this boy wants.

Story

Juniper truly is a remarkable dog. It is estimated that she is about four years old. Found on the streets of Houston, she has over come so much. Juniper is deaf and mostly blind but that doesn't stop her. She loves playing with her bouncy ball. She seems to be solar charged. She is most goofy and playful in the morning then chills out almost immediately (to begin one of her many naps of the day). But she will get very excited if she smells her leash coming out. She LOVES meeting new people, and will greet them with a down dog bow and lots of full body wiggles and helicopter tail wags. With other dogs in the home, she either plays with them or ignores them. Her only hurdle is that she is resource aggressive towards food (so feeding her alone is ideal) and sadly, me. She has decided one of her owner is a resource and one is a threat. She would be amazing with a single adult parent or a couple who are patient and ready to learn her touch cues as well as let her feel safe over time.

We got Layla down in Nashville as a puppy. She's 8 years old (turning 9 this spring). Looking for someone who can actually give her a happy back nine of her life. I have no idea how long she'll live, but we have 3 kids under 5 and zero time to give her the attention she deserves. It's honestly a bit heartbreaking. Thinking of her sitting in the house and not doing fun activities for the next 5 or so years is already sad enough. To be clear, I don't actually want to get rid of her. She's brought us so much joy over the years. We're just not in the season of life to give her what she deserves. She's super great with people, loves attention (a lot), and still has puppy energy. She'll climb up on your lap if you let her, and somehow she never smells bad. If you can take her on walks, give her love, and don't mind a dog that lets you know when someone pulls into the driveway, you'll adore her.

Beckett is a very handsome mini Australian Shepherd mix. He weighs about 35 lbs. This distinguished boy is a young 10-year-old. Beckett was saved from the streets of Nashville. He was abandoned and alone. Thanks to a caring lady who could not bear the thought of him spending any more time outside, Beckett is now in a loving foster home. He is under the care of Critter Cavalry. It did not take long for this awesome gentleman to make himself at home. After meeting the resident dogs, he explored outside. He came in and found a spot to relax. He is getting along great with his new foster sisters. He is also good with cats. This super smart boy quickly learned to use the doggie door. He can now come and go as he pleases. He does prefer to be inside and likes to know where his foster mom is. Beckett is enjoying all the love and attention he is getting. It takes him a few minutes, but he quickly warms up to new people. He just has to make sure that you are nice. Beckett is housebroken. He walks well on a leash. He also does not mind the crate and will go right in for a treat. He currently sleeps in his crate, but we think he would love to cuddle up right next to you.
