Story
Meet Ken — the Handsome, Happy Survivor Looking for His Person Ken is a 1.5‑year‑old, 78‑lb Australian Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his smile. This boy radiates joy. He adores people, leans in for affection, and has that irresistible mix of sweetness and goofy charm that makes you fall for him instantly. He is current on vaccinations and will be neutered prior to adoption. His story is nothing short of miraculous. Ken was saved minutes before euthanasia at a Tennessee shelter. He knows he got a second chance, and he lives every moment with gratitude and tail wags. Right now, he’s in paid boarding, but to him it feels too much like the shelter he narrowly escaped. He’s ready for a real home — a soft bed, a loving human, and the safety he’s never truly had. Ken is handsome, social, and so eager to bond. He’ll thrive with someone who wants a loyal companion to share life with. Transport is available to your area, so distance doesn’t have to stand in the way of giving this boy the future he deserves. For more information or to meet Ken, please contact Julie at 919‑624‑0059.

To bo fault of his own Lucky had a rough start to life so he can be weary of new people and places. He takes time to warm up but once he does ans his personality peaks through he can be very affectionate and sweet. He's very smart and always eager to new commands quickly. He's crate and potty trained. He would benefit from having and experienced adopter that has the time and patience to care for him. He gets along with dogs and cats. Story
Meet Knox! If you've ever wished for a dog who thinks you're the greatest person in the world, Knox has been practicing for this role his entire life. This handsome 3-year-old Aussiedoodle weighs about 80 pounds at the moment, but don't let the extra fluff fool you—he's already working on a healthier lifestyle after spending his early years enjoying a little too much people food. His former owner adored him and spoiled him with table scraps, so now Knox is discovering that dog food, daily walks, and playtime are the recipe for feeling his best. Knox's world changed forever when his beloved mom unexpectedly passed away this spring. Since then, he's been missing what he treasures most: having someone to love. If you're looking for a loyal sidekick, Knox checks all the boxes. He's house-trained, walks nicely on a leash, loves children, and has a gentle, affectionate personality that makes everyone feel like they're his favorite person. Whether you're heading out for a walk, spending time in the backyard, or loading up the car for a weekend adventure, Knox will happily be right by your side. He's looking for a family that enjoys being active and will help him continue his fitness journey. A fenced yard for games of fetch, daily walks, and plenty of quality time together would be his dream come true. While Knox hasn't officially met cats, he politely ignores the neighborhood cats he sees during walks, so we think he has the makings of a respectful housemate with proper introductions. Neutered, heartworm negative, and ready to begin again, Knox isn't just looking for another home—he's looking for his next best friend. Maybe that's you. To learn more about adopting Knox, email ccrnewengland@gmail.com and include your city and state with your inquiry. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 20, 2026, 12:48 pm
