Story
Meet Vegemite! Their favorite things are romping around with toys - of course! Vegemite is a bit reserved at first, but warms up quickly and is looking for a patient family who can give an adopted dog some time to decompress in the new home. Vegemite enjoys a good walk like any dog, but definitely likes to settle in at the end of the day. Vegemite has enjoyed wrestling with other dogs here at the shelter, so we think they may enjoy dog friends after having time to settle into their new home - but would be just as happy to be your one and only. Vegemite is an eager learner is looking for a patient owner to help them master polite greetings, leash skills, and puppy basics—training together will be a fun and rewarding journey!

Story
Kepler is a 5 years and 10 months old. We adopted him as a puppy when he was 7 weeks old in Michigan when we were living there. He travelled with us across different states and different jobs. He knows about 10 tricks and responds well to commands. He is very trainable. Unfortunately, he is reactive with new people and dogs. He has been around people and other dogs but due to our busy schedules he is not very well socialized. We also have a two year old and recently as he became more active and rambunctious, Kepler bit him. Thus we can no longer keep him. He is up to date on his immunizations. He cannot be around children.

Story
Say hello to Jax! Jax is a sweet, young guy who loves playing with toys. He is house trained, crate trained, and loves to train! That is because he just so smart. Jax has a good history of living with another dog and having dog walking buddies. And he could probably live with children old enough to help with his training. However, he prefers not to live with cats. This good boy can take some time warming up to new people. Once he knows you, he is snuggly and enjoys just hanging out. Jax is looking for a patient understanding family who will help him learn to settle on his own. He was working on this in his previous home and was starting to get the hang of it. He hopes to continue this training so he can become the very best dog. He really is smart enough to do that! Jax is such a good dog. Does he sound like the dog for you?

Story
Stella is a friendly and intelligent dog with plenty of energy. We want her to be happy and have a space where she can run around and play with other dogs. Previously, Stella lived in the mountains of Colorado, where she enjoyed a large fenced yard and had lots of friends to play with. Now, she is living in a townhouse without a yard, which has been challenging for her. As a very active young lady, she is currently feeling unhappy. Stella is a mix of Australian Cattle Dog, Husky, German Shepherd, and Golden Retriever, and she is expected to weigh around 30 pounds. She is a loving and eager-to-learn dog who picks up new skills quickly. Stella would be an amazing agility dog, as this would engage both her mind and her need for physical activity. If agility training isn't your interest, she would also thrive in an active lifestyle with an avid walker, hiker, or runner.  Stella is a very quick learner and was immediately fully potty trained.     To ensure the best for Stella, her new owners should have a yard or live on a farm, and it would be great if they have another dog and children.  Stella has plenty of energy to add playing at home to her list of activities.    Stella has been spayed and is current on all her shots until May 2026.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Stella is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  July 30, 2025, 9:47 pm
