He loves going on walks and can't wait to meet his new best friend! Listed breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what a puppy's adult size will be. This dog is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Barton's Barkers transport services upon adoption. Their adoption fee is $500 and includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, microchip and transport costs. Second Chances lists dogs as being available in White River Junction, VT because we transport our dogs to the area every 3rd week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters. ##2016310##

Meet Tokyo! A devoted four-year-old Australian Shepherd currently in Monrovia, MD, whose blue merle coat shimmers like a watercolor masterpiece and whose loyalty runs deep as a river. Tokyo is the kind of girl who forms powerful bonds with her people. Obedient and incredibly smart, she responds to a wide array of commands from “go to your bed” to “turn around” and loves nothing more than staying close to her trusted human companions. Walks? She’s a dream! On or off leash, she moves with grace and attentiveness, though her true joy blossoms when she’s leash-free, trotting happily beside her person with frisbee in tow.
