Story
Meet Bear, a charming mini Australian Shepherd mixed with an Ori-Pei, which is a blend of Shar Pei and Pug. Bear is incredibly intelligent and thrives on affection; he truly loves being loved. If you're searching for a loyal companion to keep you company, Bear is the perfect pup for you. We’re not in a hurry to rehome him; we genuinely want to find the right fit. We adore Bear and know he deserves more than we can currently provide. He longs to be the baby of the household, but with a three-year-old in the mix, we’ve noticed some jealousy on his part. Bear would thrive in a family without young children, though teenagers would be just fine. He’s full of energy and loves to run and play. After attending dog school for four months, he mastered his commands and made plenty of canine friends. He also gets along wonderfully with our cat. If you're ready to welcome a loving and spirited companion into your home, Bear could be the one for you!

Story
**Meet Dean — a Gentle, Shy Soul Looking for His Perfect Home (with Jackie!)** Dean is a very shy but incredibly sweet boy who just needs a little time and patience to show you his true heart. Once he bonds with you, he becomes your devoted shadow—quietly loyal, deeply affectionate, and happiest right by your side. Dean shares a special, unbreakable bond with his best friend Jackie, and the two of them must be adopted together. Their connection gives Dean confidence, comfort, and joy, and they truly thrive as a pair. Leash walks are one of Dean’s favorite things—he’s calm, easy to handle, and enjoys exploring the world at a gentle pace. However, he *can* jump a 4-foot fence, so he will need a secure yard with a taller fence or supervised outdoor time to keep him safe. Dean and Jackie are looking for a patient, loving home that will give them the time and reassurance they need to settle in. With understanding and consistency, Dean will blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion he’s meant to be. If you’re ready to open your heart to a sweet, sensitive boy and his best friend, Dean and Jackie are waiting to meet you.

Story
Roux is a 7 year 8-month-old male Australian Shepherd mix with a brown and white fluffy coat and a gentle, soulful personality. He weighs 73 pounds and has clearly been a well-loved indoor dog. After his beloved owner passed away, Roux was staying at a veterinary clinic, patiently waiting for a new family to call his own. Roux truly enjoys the comforts of home but also loves going outside to feel the sunshine, run a bit, and sniff the grass. Rainy weather is strictly business only, then it is right back inside. He adores people and attention, happily following his humans around and gently pawing for more pets when he feels the moment is right. Playing with his ball, rolling in the grass, and simply being near his people are some of his favorite activities. He also is great around other dogs and children. He is polite and well mannered, does not bark excessively, and has even taken on the role of friendly receptionist while he was at the vet clinic. Roux greeted visitors calmly and soaked up compliments. Roux is generally indifferent to cats, and if a cat swats at him, he prefers to retreat and avoid conflict. He listens well, though he can occasionally get lost in his own little world while sniffing. He also has a mild fondness for sneaking paper towels from the trash, a quirky habit that only adds to his charm. Roux is already top notch with his house, crate and leash training. He is ready to pack his bags and move into his forever home. Although Roux is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. Roux enjoys healthy snacks like fruits and vegetables, especially when they are frozen in water. He is a truly sweet, loyal boy who deserves a loving home where he can be cherished again. Roux is ready to give his whole heart to someone who will love him as much as his previous owner did.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Roux is $300. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.February 9, 2026, 6:19 am

Story
**Now fostered in Bothell, WA** At 7.5 months old and about 28lbs., this velvet-soft cutie is believed to be an Aussie/Pittie mix (though with rescue, it’s always a bit of a guess). With his two tan splotches, dreamy blue eyes, and the sweetest face, Beethoven Clu is impossible not to fall in love with. Given Beethoven's small size he will most likely remain a smol boy once full grown! Beethoven Clu was born deaf, but that hasn’t slowed him down one bit! He’s a happy, wiggly pup who takes cues from the other dogs in his foster home and is learning the world beautifully through them. He’ll need a home with another friendly dog and adopters who either have experience with deaf dogs or are eager to learn how to communicate and support him — because this boy is so worth it. His foster family reports he's doing amazing and learning hand signals. He’s currently thriving in a loving foster home with two young kids, two foster dog siblings, and his brother (who’s also available for adoption!). He’s doing awesome with his potty (pretty much 100%) and crate training, loves toys, adores having his ears rubbed, and recently tagged along to watch his foster brothers play soccer — he was a total hit on the sidelines! He also joins his foster dad and mom at work and is a great help- although he may be caught sleeping on the job a bit. Beethoven was a hit at a recent busy adoption event- he was sweet and loving to all including little kids who wanted a chance to hold and pet him. He's very well behaved in public. He also has meet Santa and road on a boat- this boy is made for adventure! Even though he is deaf he will occasionally let out a deep bark- his foster mom says the first time he did it everyone was shocked. He knows that a bark will let others know he needs out. One benefit of a deaf dog is when the house is full of chaos- kids running around, tv blaring, doorbell ringing from visitors or the delivery person dropping off packages- he has no idea and will remain sound asleep or playing with his toys. Beethoven Clu is a smart, affectionate, and resilient little soul who’s ready to find a family that will cheer him on every step of the way. Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We’ve received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. We’ve even had many veterinarians adopt from us! Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. Your adoption fee goes beyond getting a fully vetted pet, it’s also a donation toward our mission of helping to solve the pet over-population crisis in TX. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30-day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8-week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 7-year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport.
