Story
Meet Baron! 🐾 Baron is a remarkable young pup, just 1 year old and weighing 45 lbs, who’s ready to find his forever family. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Baron previously tested positive for a tick-borne disease but has since been fully treated. With a heart as big as the ocean, Baron is a true water dog—he loves cooling off by lounging in a doggy pool on warm days. He’s well-mannered, house-trained, and kennel-trained, making him an easy addition to the right home. Baron gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and having a canine companion in the household is actually preferred, as he opens up more quickly when he has another dog to bond with. Baron can be a bit shy at first, especially around men, and may take a few days to feel comfortable. A patient, understanding family will help him blossom into the loving companion he’s meant to be. Because of his gentle and reserved nature, we recommend a home with a fenced-in yard and older children who understand boundaries. While Baron isn’t overly active, he enjoys relaxing around the house, exploring the yard, and going on regular walks—he walks beautifully on a leash. Sweet, loyal, and full of potential, Baron is ready to grow and thrive with a family who will give him the time and love he deserves. Could you be the one Baron has been waiting for? Take the first step toward a lifetime of love and companionship by giving Baron the forever home he deserves. 💙 I'm being fostered in La Feria, TX but can be transported to any midwestern or northeastern state. Adoption fee is $500. Please apply to adopt here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ASHT/Dog

Story
Mazy is a great companion. Shes super sweet and very active. She will need a owner who is experienced in herding dogs. Mazy does well in our home witho 2 cats and 2 kids who are 7yrs and 9yrs old. I think she could do well in a family home but would do even better with a single home just because she begs for one on one time. She loves to cuddle and go for walks. She does great at the groomers and dog sitters house. She is hesitant to meeting new people and it will take some time to warming up. Walking her helps a ton.

Story
Nova is a good girl but because of their anxiety, we believe they would thrive best in a home with no children if possible or a family with older teens, where the environment is predictable and low-stress. They bond deeply with their person and would be an amazing companion for someone who can be home often and is committed to helping an anxious dog feel safe and secure. Her anxiety is something that the adopting family must keep in mind. Nova would be better suited in an environment where there is constant structure. She is potty trained but at times her anxiety can cause her to become overwhelmed and accidents can occur in her crate. But it is unpredictable as to why she has these accidents ever so often. Nova does well with other dogs and does prefer their companionship. She is good with kids and cats as well.

Story
This is not an easy decision, but we are looking to rehome our 7 year old sweet girl due to safety concerns with smaller dogs. She plays very rough and doesn’t always realize her size and strength. Unfortunately, during play she has already caused a serious injury to another dog (torn ACL from jumping/rough play), so we need to make the responsible choice for everyone involved. That said she truly is a great dog in the right environment. 🐾 Good with kids 🐾 Crate trained 🐾 Loving, loyal, and well-behaved 🐾 Thrives with structure and attention She would do best in a home without small dogs, ideally as the only dog or with a larger, equally rough-and-tumble companion and an owner who understands strong play styles. We want to find her a safe, loving home where she can thrive and where everyone humans and animals can stay safe. Please message me if you’re seriously interested or would like more details.

Story
Laika is a beautiful 6-year-old red Merle Mini Australian Shepherd. She has been with us since she was 8 weeks old, and it breaks our heart to have to seek a new home for her. She has struggled to adapt since the birth of our child, and as baby becomes more mobile this strain is becoming more and more evident. Laika is a sweet and sassy girl who is eager to please and does best with adequate stimulation and exercise. She would be best served with owners who are experienced with this breed. She loves swimming in shallow water, hikes, ice cubes, and anywhere she can run wide open. She is very intelligent and treat-motivated. She knows basic commands, is housebroken, crate-trained, and does not chew or exhibit other destructive behaviors. She can be protective over her food and her crate, and can be nippy in these circumstances. She has lived with cats, who she tolerates but herds. She gets along with dogs she is familiar with. She should absolutely NOT be in a home with young children.
