Story
Meet Bandit! This handsome chap is looking for his furrever home! Bandit has been around other dogs and did well with them. Bandit is also good with kids of all ages, although when he's excited he can be a little jumpy. He has not been around cats, but he had a habit of chasing neighbor chickens, so we recommend doing a slow introduction to see how he does. Ask staff for tips! Bandit does well in a crate and is used to being kenneled when home alone. He is still learning about potty training and building his confidence with it. He loves to receive treats and attention, which are great for working on potty training! He does fairly well on the leash but is still working on pulling and can occasionally get distracted. Lots of patience and positive reinforcement will help Bandit blossom into the best boy he can be. Bandit does have moderate energy and tends to be destructive with toys. He loves ripping them apart - but if you'd rather avoid the mess, he also enjoys the tough chewer toys! He also loves to learn - he knows sit, stay, and "no"! Bandit also *loves* the water. It is his favorite thing! Could Bandit steal your heart? Come meet him today! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
Archer is the kind of dog who looked at a basket of toys and said, “No thanks, I’d rather schedule quality one-on-one time with my emotional support human.” This boy isn’t interested in tennis balls or squeaky ducks when he could be out on a romantic neighborhood stroll with his favorite person. He’s fully house trained and trustworthy home alone because Archer apparently believes he’s a mature adult with responsibilities and property values to protect. Crates? Absolutely not. Archer did not sign up for tiny apartment living or prison cells. He expects free roam privileges because, in his mind, he pays the mortgage. And vocal? Archer doesn’t bark — he provides live commentary. Neighbor walking by? Announcement. Leaf moving suspiciously? Public statement. Existing peacefully? Ongoing podcast episode. Despite his strong opinions, he’s a total sweetheart with kids and is gentle with younger humans. Basically Archer is equal parts loving family dog, neighborhood watch captain, and clingy boyfriend in a fur coat.

Story
Nala is an absolutely wonderful dog. We got her 3 years ago from our neighbor, whose dog had an accidental liter of puppies. We adopted her when she was 7 weeks old because the owner could not handle having them any longer than that. She turned 3 years old in February and she is amazing but very high energy. We have a 9 month old and have learned that it is quite hard to have a very high energy dog and a new baby at the same time. We are hoping that Nala can find a home that can handle all of her energy and quirks. Medical Needs:For special medical needs, she takes medication for urinary incontinence. This started happening after she was spayed. Luckily, we were able to find the right medication and she has not had any accidents in almost a year.

Story
Meet Colt! Colt is a high-energy dog who would love a very active home - a job would be even better! We think he would make a perfect addition to some farms because he likes to stay busy. He is a little bit of a puller when he walks, so an appropriate harness or Weiss Walkie (sold in our Re-Tail Shoppe) would be a good idea. Colt loves fetch and tug-of-war, but he's equally happy to snuggle in someone's lap. He is a super sweet dog, with two catches - he does not like being around small children OR cats. Ask to see Colt outside of his kennel to get to know the real him - he never stops smiling! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. Story
Hi there, I’m Boba! I’m a sweet, blue-eyed boy whose ultimate goal in life is to be your right-hand man and your absolute best friend. I thrive on your praise and attention, and my foster mom swears my eyes get even bluer whenever you tell me I’m a "good boy" and give me hugs. I'm a total dream on the leash when I'm wearing my halter, and I’m a great listener who comes running the second you call my name. I’m also doing amazing with my house-training as long as we stick to a good routine, and I’m currently working really hard on my manners, like learning to sit politely before getting my meals and treats! When it comes to burning energy, I am a professional fun-seeker! My absolute favorite thing in the world is a squeaky Kong ball, and I have some serious athletic skills—I will run and jump incredibly high just to catch it for a game of fetch. My perfect day includes lots of free outdoor playtime in the morning and evening to explore nature, play with my toys, and chew on bones. I am incredibly brave when it comes to making new four-legged friends, and my favorite way to learn and burn energy is running around outside with my foster sisters. While I’m a total rockstar, my foster mom says I should be honest about a few of my quirks! I can be pretty shy and hesitant when meeting new humans, so I’ll need a patient family who can help me feel safe and let me warm up at my own pace. I also love to be as close to you as humanly possible; I use my impressive jumping skills to hop right up next to you for snuggling, and when I want your attention, I’ll park my face right on your knee or squeeze myself between your calves while you're standing. I would love a home with a secure yard for my big leaps, a fur sibling to show me the ropes, and a family ready to give me all the love I deserve!

Story
Location: Buffalo, MN After 3 years in a home, Greta sadly found herself back in rescue. Despite everything, this sweet girl continues to be nothing but loving, loyal, and ready to give her whole heart. Greta is truly the total package: 🐾 House trained 🐾 Crate trained 🐾 Knows all her basic commands 🐾 Great with dogs and cats 🐾 Calm, affectionate, and easy to love Her only requirements? Greta needs a home without children and should be fed separately due to resource guarding around food and treats. Outside of mealtime, she happily coexists with other animals and has been an amazing foster dog. Greta is still feeling a little unsure being returned, and it can take her a few minutes to get over her initial stranger danger. Once you win her over, she’s the kind of dog who settles in beside you like she’s always belonged. After losing the family she thought was forever, Greta deserves a second chance with someone who will love her for life! --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
