Story
Meet Maggie! She arrived with her sister, Harley. They have lived together their whole lives and would love to go home together! They have lived with children and did great. Maggie and Harley have lived with cats, but Harley did chase them sometimes. They have also been around other dogs and did well as long as introductions were done slowly. Maggie is described as a playful, energetic, and cuddly gal. She loves all the attention and pets she can get! She is a little more outgoing than her sister. She knows commands such as "sit" and "leave it." Maggie is housetrained and kennel-trained. Maggie adores running and would love a place to play and chase her sister around! You can win her over with any treats! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Loyal and affectionate with his family. Very intelligent and knows many commands. He enjoys having a job to do and learns quickly. Protective of his home and people, and can be wary of strangers. He does best with slow introductions and visitors who ignore him initially. Once he gets to know someone, he is much more comfortable. He would thrive with an experienced dog owner who understands herding breeds and reactive behavior. He has a bite history involving an unfamiliar person who approached and reached toward him, so careful management around new people is important.

Story
Australian Shepherd Puppy Looking for a Loving Forever Home My daughter adopted a beautiful Aussie this spring and then took on a new job that has her working full time+. She is no longer able to care for this puppy in the way she needs. We are looking for a loving, active, and permanent home for her 7-month-old Australian Shepherd puppy, Winnie (Winnifred). This is a difficult decision, and she wants to ensure she goes to a family that will give her the care, time, and love she deserves. Meet Winnie: • 7 months old, has been through puppy kindergarten and basic obedience training • Up to date on all vaccinations, has had her first grooming, and loves to be brushed • Crate trained and doing (mostly) well with house routines (she still excited-pees and needs to be taken out often to ensure no accidents in the house) • Smart, affectionate, and eager to learn (she has tons of energy and needs to be walked or ran multiple times/day). • Great with children and other pets
