Meet Colt! Colt is a high-energy dog who would love a very active home - a job would be even better! We think he would make a perfect addition to some farms because he likes to stay busy. He spent a few weeks in a foster home (in an apartment), and his foster reported he did very well! "He is really calm when I work from home and doesn’t bother me. He doesn’t get into anything, and he is 100 percent potty trained." Colt also learned not to pull on his leash. "It took him like a day to learn how to loose leash walk. I take him on runs, and he knows how to match my pace." Colt is a fast learner and already knows sit, down, and crate. Colt loves fetch and tug-of-war, but he's equally happy to snuggle in someone's lap. He is a super sweet dog, with two catches - he does not like being around small children OR cats. His foster said that he barks when he sees kids. He is very friendly with new people although he does bark a bit at first. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Hi, I'm Lori! I'm a happy little puppy who thinks everyone I meet is my new best friend! I love to eat, play, and spend time with my people. I had so much fun playing with the 11 year old in my previous foster's home, so I'd be happy in a home with kids too. I'm affectionate, playful, and sometimes a little vocal when I'm having fun.
