Story
We rescued Finley as an 8-week old puppy from the humane society. Quickly we learned that Finley has her own ways! She did not thrive in group puppy training although she did quickly get commands such as sit and lay down. She has shown signs of separation anxiety, difficulty with strangers, and major FOMO. We had since found a medication regimen that seems to be doing well for her now. She has been around while raise our kids and has always been so sweet to them and loves to give slobbery kisses and alert for dirty diapers! She is the biggest lap dog you would even meet and loves to snuggle on the couch! She plays fetch although as she’s getting older does not play as long. Her best friend is our other dog that she did well acquainting to! She’s gotten better about meeting strangers but now gets over excited to meet them! We unfortunately are looking for a new home as we are needing to host many families with allergies and cannot have her barking or welcoming every time.

Story
Meet Phil and Lil! These two sweet pups were found abandoned out in the countryside, so unfortunately we don’t know much about their early lives. Based on their timid personalities, it seems likely they didn’t have much exposure to the world during their first few months. We estimate they’re around 7 months old, and they appear to be Australian Shepherd mixes—but as always with rescue dogs, your guess is as good as ours. Of the pair, Phil is the more confident one. He’s still shy and needs a little time to warm up, but with patience (and plenty of treats) he begins to show his gentle, affectionate side. Once he realizes you’re safe, you can see how much he wants to trust and connect. Phil is a very sweet boy at heart—just a little unsure of the world right now. Lil is having a harder time adjusting to shelter life. When people pass by her kennel, she often bolts to the outside area because she feels overwhelmed and uncomfortable. It’s clear she hasn’t had much human interaction in her short life, and everything still feels very new and scary to her. Lil is a very special girl who will need a very patient and understanding family—someone willing to move at her pace and give her the time she needs to feel safe. Both Phil and Lil will need a lot of catch-up when it comes to socialization. New experiences, new people, and everyday life are things they’re still learning about. With patient families, gentle encouragement, and positive experiences, they have every chance to grow in confidence and blossom into wonderful companions. These pups just need someone willing to believe in them and help show them the world isn’t such a scary place. 💛

Story
Shadow is SUCH a sweet boy. ❤️ He is incredibly loving and wants nothing more than to be near his people. He is goofy, affectionate, and loves carrying and throwing his toys around to make you laugh. He enjoys walks and runs but is also pretty mellow overall and loves snuggling in bed getting pets. About Shadow: 🐾 7 months old 🐾 German Shepherd/Australian Shepherd mix 🐾 Good with dogs 🐾 Good with kids 🐾 Potty trained when let out appropriately 🐾 Loves tennis balls and rope toys 🐾 Very affectionate and people oriented 🐾 Loves being close to his humans 🐾 Still needs vetting completed through rescue What Shadow really needs is a foster experienced with anxious/clingy dogs or a home where someone is home more often. He does best when close to his people and struggles when left alone/confined.
