Story
Archie is a fun-loving and energetic neutered adult male Aussie mix. Archie loves walks and does well on a leash. He also seems to get along with other dogs at the shelter. Archie isn’t the biggest fan of his kennel, so when you come to see him, ask to see him outside or take him for a walk. That’s where his personality really shines. Archie weighs about 70 pounds and every ounce is ready for his forever home. Archie is currently at the Shelter.  Here is the adoption process:   To adopt an animal you must complete an application and be approved. There is a $100 fee for any county animal which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered, there is a $35 deposit which will be returned upon proof of surgery. All dogs must be licensed before leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that issue dog licenses are not open on Saturdays and Sundays. All cats must leave in a carrier.   Thank you for considering a homeless animal.May 11, 2026, 5:01 pm

Story
Introducing Zeke, a truly remarkable pup whose heartwarming spirit and playful energy are ready to light up a new home. Zeke is a handsome, resilient boy who, through no fault of his own, found himself searching for a new home. He's more than ready to embark on his next chapter, seeking a loving, forever family to call his own. Zeke is a bundle of joyful energy, known for his silliness and ability to bring a smile to anyone's face. While he may start off shy, it doesn't take long for his true personality to shine through. He quickly becomes an enthusiastic playmate who thrives on the company of other dogs and will gleefully encourage them to play. Zeke is a smart and well-mannered companion. He is potty-trained and comfortable in his crate. He also knows basic commands like "sit" and "go to your room," and his eagerness to please makes him a joy to train further. While he’s working on managing his excitement (which sometimes results in enthusiastic leaps!), his good intentions are always clear. Walks are a highlight of his day, offering him a chance to explore and burn off some of that youthful energy. His barks will let you know precisely when he needs to go outside or when he hears you approaching the door. If you’re seeking an active, affectionate, and charming dog who promises boundless love and entertainment, Zeke could be the perfect addition to your home. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Olive — a gentle soul with the softest fur and the sweetest heart, just waiting for the right person to help her fully bloom. Found on the streets scared, starving, and emaciated, Olive’s story could have ended very differently… but her foster mom stepped in, gave her safety, love, and the chance to learn that people can be kind. Olive is still a shy and nervous girl when meeting new people, so she’ll need a patient family willing to give her the time and space to settle in at her own pace. A home with a secure fenced yard will help her feel safe as she learns her new surroundings. But once Olive trusts you? Get ready for the sweetest hugs and a loyal best friend who will melt your heart. This beautiful medium-sized girl is about 30 lbs, potty trained, knows sit, is kennel trained, and is learning more every day. She’s great with kids and other dogs, and her gentle nature shines brighter as her confidence grows. Olive isn’t looking for perfection — just someone willing to offer patience, understanding, and love. In return, she’ll give you a bond that’s truly special. Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)
