Story
Bandit is in search of a new home after the loss of his owner. This beautiful 9 year old red merle male has striking eyes - one is blue and the other is split blue and brown. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and has been heart worm tested. Bandit has been a beloved pet his entire life and he is looking for a home where he will be a treasured family member again. He enjoys going on walks and is a great leash walker. He also likes car rides. He has been a frequent visitor to the dog park and has been well socialized with other dogs so a doggy companion may be a possibility for him. He has not been around cats so will not be placed in a home with them. He has also not been raised in a home with children so a quieter home would be best for him. He has been described as a sweet, loving, obedient and loyal dog. HIs family is requesting a home with a physical fence. Bandit is a typical Aussie that takes a few moments to warm up to people, an Aussie or herding dog experienced home is preferred. Bandit would be a wonderful companion for someone looking to spend their time with a mature companion. Bandit is currently living on Long Island, NY. If you are interested in meeting him please complete an adoption application http://www.aussierescue.org/Adoption/-Adoption-Application. ARPH is screening homes for the family.

Story
This is Koba Boba. He’s a red Merle mini Aussie. He’s loving, caring, loyal, energetic and has a strong personality! He will stare at you into your eyes and he will fall in love. Heartbreakingly, I can no longer look after him. He needs room to be himself. He needs more attention than what I alone can give. It’s a tough decision to make but I know he’ll be happier in the long run. And if he could talk, he’d tell me thanks and he loves me. Koba needs a better home; and I’m hoping any of you pet lovers would be able to give that to him..

Story
Cindy and siblings were found dumped in a garbage bag by a river in Texas. They where immediately brought to the vet where they were treated for sarcopic mange , dewormed, and given vaccines. We think she has some Australian shepherd in her but thats just a guess. She is currently 10 lbs, and around 14 weeks old. Cindy is a typical puppy and will need continued puppy training. She has age appropriate vaccinations, is dewormed, microchipped, and is on preventatives.

Story
Available In Old Lyme, CT This very handsome dude is Kumo! He is currently in a board/train facility in CT. He is a 2 year old energetic boy. After working with him I have learned that the best place for him would be a place with no children or other animals and an area that will have a fenced in yard with a calm area neighborhood. Kumo is a young energetic dog that loves to eat. Kumo knows his basic commands and tries to push the envelope when it come to wait and stay. When he relaxing he would prefer to be left alone. Kumo enjoys his chew toys. Kumo needs time to warm up to new people. He likes to be asked to do something over being pushed physically. Kumo will go far in the right home. He wants to work and be loved. Kumo likes to walk, jog, snuggle and get lots of pets. He is high energy with a big appetite. Kumo is neutered, current on immunizations, housebroken and on preventatives. If you think this boy is a good fit for your family, please fill out our application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts. Disclosure: Kumo has a bite history, however he has been in a board/train facility for a few months and the trainer has seen no sign of this behavior.

Story
Meet Sadie in Cheshire, CT! This girl is available through no fault of her own. She will either be spayed before adoption or come with the requirement that she be spayed with proof provided to ASF. Sadie is up to date on vaccinations. Her owners are dealing with a family medical emergency that has them out of state frequently and unfortunately needing to rehome her. She is a sweet, beautiful red merle who is an absolute cuddle bug once she has a few moments to meet you. She knows come and sit, but isn't particularly fond of down (lay). She has no known health issues. She is not recommended for a home with cats, as she has a high prey drive and chases squirrels, birds, and deer. She is good with people of all ages. She plays well with the neighbor dogs, but can be bossy with dogs in her home, preferring all the attention to herself. She is used to a fenced yard but that is not a requirement if someone is willing to put in the time to leash train her. Sadie is located in Cheshire, and is being fostered by her current owners. Story
Darling Lola has a sweet disposition. She is very excited to be cozy in a house with humans who snuggle with her and tell her she’s brave, beautiful and smart! She is an 11-week old Aussie/Plott hound mix. Lola would love to be adopted with one of her siblings or will also be happy as long as she has another dog friend in her forever home. She will bring pure love and happiness to her family.  Lola is vaccinated and microchipped. We require adopters to have a safe and secure backyard - not electric or Fido fences as they are not as safe at containing dogs or keeping other animals or people out. For these reasons we do not adopt to homes with electric or Fido fencing. The adoption fee is $675 which includes age appropriate vaccines, microchip, monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventatives at time of adoption and age appropriate spay/neuter.
