Alec is absolutely stunning! He is a 3 yr old aussie mixed with possibly Husky ..so yes, energetic!!! He would make a great buddy for adventures. He is very smart. A meet w dogs, as usual, is required to see who he is compatible with, no cats. A fenced yard and Older kids. He does need his own space to eat his food, so no little children that may not understand this. Alec has energy, if you like to hike, jog, or keep busy he is happy to keep busy with you! Please go to the link to fill our our adoption application.  https://www.remembermerescueny.net/adoption-application  Remember Me Rescue does not adopt out of the local area, no transport is available.  We adopt to Long Island, Westchester, NYC area and parts of Connecticut only. Also, we have a very high volume of applications and we are all volunteers. We cannot respond to every application personally. Please make sure your application gives us a good picture of your family and the life you plan on providing a dog from our rescue. We choose a home based on the BEST FIT for EACH dog and approve on a dog by dog basis. Thank you! ##2293391##

His world is about to fall apart… please don’t let him lose the only love he has left 💔 Muffin’s Video: https://youtu.be/iybDX2NkQLo?si=9HmkIuc784AWaChq WE WILL PROVIDE TRANSPORT TO ANY NORTHEAST STATE TO HELP MUFFIN → TEXT/CALL ADELE NOW: 617-461-2723 ⸻ There are some dogs who shut down when love is taken from them… And then, there are the ones who try to hold on. Muffin is one of those souls. When he’s scared, he doesn’t hide. He leans in. He gently wraps his paws around your arm like he’s saying: “Please don’t leave me. I just want to belong to someone.” This boy came into the shelter as a stray. He was given a chance in a foster home… but due to personal issues through no fault of his own, Muffin now has nowhere to go. And the clock is ticking. If we don’t find him a temporary foster or adopter immediately, he will have no safe place. He is only 1 year old. He has his whole life ahead of him. He has tried so hard to be brave. Please, please, let’s not break his heart. ⸻ 💛 ABOUT MUFFIN • 1 year old • 60lbs • German Shepherd mix • Neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped (fully healthy) • Affectionate, gentle, and deeply loving • House-trained • Walks nicely on leash • LOVES belly rubs & sleeping beside you • Knows sit, paw, down, takes treats gently • Friendly with other dogs (big + small) - we don’t know if he’s ever lived with cats • Friendly with kids & strangers • Quiet, calm in the house — not a barker • Just wants to be someone’s dog again ⸻ 🏡 FOSTERING IS FREE & TEMPORARY We provide: ✔ All medical ✔ Full rescue support ✔ Transport to ANY Northeast State All we need is a soft place for Muffin to feel loved & safe. ⸻ ❤️ HOW TO HELP If you can foster even just 2–4 weeks, please reach out. If you can adopt, even better. If you cannot foster, please share — his life depends on it. TO FOSTER / ADOPT MUFFIN: 📲 Text/Call: Adele 617-461-2723 (Rescue: RSVP, Inc. – 30 years saving lives)

Story
If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, the Joey is your guy. We think this gorgeous, tricolor male could be a cross between an Australian Shepard and an English Shepard, both of which are very intelligent breeds. He would be the perfect dog for someone who works from home. Joey walks well on a leash, even though he pulls a bit, and rides well in a car. Joey gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with the dogs in his foster home. Joey would make a great hiking buddy as he is always ready for an adventure. He was picked up as a stray and is guesstimated to be between 3-5 years old. Due to his activity level, we think he is closer to 3 years old. Joey has been neutered, is to up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped. Unfortunately, Joey did test positive for heartworms. Since he is asymptomatic for heartworms, he is on the slow kill method to eliminate them, and he should test negative in a year or two. In the meantime, he can live life normally without any restrictions. Joey’s adoption donation is $450 which includes the $165 transport fee. Joey is being fostered in Arkansas. If you would like to adopt Joey, please fill out an adoption application. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Hello everyone! I am Goose in Terryville! Yes, yes, thank you - I am very handsome, aren’t I? Even if I am carrying a few extra pounds these days. Well, who isn’t at the age of 7 (or thereabouts - I’m not saying)? Although I do tolerate dogs and cats, I tend to want to be in charge all the time (duh), and of course all the people belong to me, so there can be conflict with others who won’t get with the program. And those kitties are SOOOOOO fun to herd that my foster Moms and the lady who picked me up think I’m probably best suited to a home where all the attention is mine and I don’t have to share (YES!!). I *may* be ok with a submissive female, but that would need to be evaluated with a meet and greet, and if there are other dogs / cats in the home, my adopted would need to be very experienced with how to manage different personalities so we were all set up to succeed. Because I like to herd, and because I am a bit of a drama queen when startled by young children, it is recommended that I go to a home without them. Older dog-savvy kids are OK. I can be loud and uneasy at first with strangers. If allowed some time to get used to them (and/or bribed with treats), I quickly lose interest in being dramatic and go for all the pets! I LOVE attention. Once I decide you’re ok, I want to be everywhere you are. In your lap, in whatever room you’re in, getting pet - I’ll roll right over for belly rubs once I’m comfortable. I give the BEST snuggles and smooches! I’m great in the car, not especially fond of vets but am muzzle-trained. I could also be given medication for that. I would do great with regular walks and my very own butler - er, person to love me and be my world. If you think I would be a good fit for you, please fill out an application for me at https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to my new furever family.

Story
Marmaduke is a big goofy lovebug! He adores children and other dogs. He is very curious about cats and chickens and is probably best in a home without those (or where he can be separated from them). He is only about 1 year old and has been in rescue all his life. He had a medical issue as a puppy that required surgery and he is completely healed from that. He will do best in a home with a secure fenced yard, another dog or dogs to play with that are not tiny since he's so big, and respectful animal-loving children that will love him as much as he loves them. If you are interested in Marmaduke, please fill out an application at our website: forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and could be available for transport but transport fees are on top of the adoption fee.
