Story
Redford is a 2.5 year old Mini American Shepherd. I have had him since he was 9 weeks old. He is the smartest, goofiest pup. He learns really quick. He is a great hiking buddy. He loves the water and snow. Unfortunately with pros come cons. He has some resource guarding issues and he is a very fearful skittish dog. I would not trust him around small children. He has been like this since I got him. I am looking to rehome him because I cannot give him the mental stimulation that he needs and deserves to curb these negative traits nor the right out of exercise he needs I am looking for a knowledgeable, patient home for him preferably without children or any future planned children. Someone familiar with Australian Shepherds and their needs.

Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Meet Dino, a high-energy, wiggly, and eager-to-please Australian Shepherd mix with a sleek black coat. At just over a year old and weighing 50 lbs, he's always ready for fun and affection. His whole body wiggles with excitement, right down to his little nub tail, and he absolutely loves flopping over for belly rubs. He knows how to sit and will go into his crate for a treat. Being food-motivated, he’s eager to learn more commands. Housetrained, he does well with both a fenced yard and leash walks. While he doesn’t love the crate, he settles in and sleeps when needed. Dino enjoys playing fetch, running with other dogs, and getting as much attention and petting as possible. He prefers not to be left alone but simply expresses this by barking. He has a big, loud bark and he does like to talk at times. He also has a happy voice when he's excited and getting belly rubs. Dino gets along well with other dogs, is polite to cats, and has been reported to do well with kids. He takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, but quickly becomes a lovebug. On leash, he’s still learning manners but enjoys his walks. He rides fine in the car but may need a little help getting in. Dino would thrive in an active home where he gets plenty of exercise and, ideally, has a dog friend to play with. Interested in bringing Dino into your heart and home? Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. April 5, 2025, 10:14 pm

**Please Note: This is a Courtesy Posting. Dog is currently with owner, and they will receive the application. This dog is not the rescues, we are just trying to assist owner find a good home for their dog.** Required: live in Rochester NY area. Meet Rosie! Rosie is a 1 year old Australian Shepherd weighing in around 35 pounds. Rosie is looking for a forever home where she doesn’t have to spend so much time in a crate. She is very high energy, and needs a home with a fenced in yard for her to run around in. She loves to have a ball tossed to her, and just run around and play. Rosie is nervous when first meeting new people, so it will take a little time to warm up. Once she does, she is ready to play! Rosie is still a bit of a puppy (and an Aussie) and she does tend to nip from time-to-time. It is highly recommended that she goes to a home without small children. Rosie currently spends a great deal of time in her crate, and this does not suit her energy needs as an Aussie. She is also still working on her potty training and her leash training as she is considered leash reactive. With this, Rosie will need a patient home who is willing to work with her and train her to become the best dog she can be. To meet with Rosie to see if she might be a good match for your home, an adoption application is required. https://www.cognitoforms.com/New2URescues/AdoptionApplication This dog is a courtesy posting, we are helping the owner find a suitable home for this pup.
