Story
Woody is a sweet, loyal dog who deserves a home where he can get the time and attention he needs. Rehoming him has been a very difficult decision for our family, but with a newborn in the home and allergies becoming an issue, we are no longer able to care for him the way he deserves. Woody is affectionate and loves being near his people. He enjoys relaxing close by and being part of the family. He can be a little shy in new environments at first, but once he feels comfortable he is loving and loyal. We want to make sure Woody goes to a safe and caring home where he will be treated like family. He would do best with someone who has the time to give him attention and help him settle into his new home. There is a small $25 rehoming fee to ensure he goes to a committed home. Our main goal is simply to find the right family for him where he can thrive.

Story
It absolutely breaks our hearts to rehome our sweet girl because we've done everything imaginable to avoid this. Unfortunately, the relationship she has with the other two dogs in our home has become increasingly more difficult. She deserves more freedom and attention than we're able to give her in our current living situation. She is great with people and forms strong, loving bonds. However, she struggles with high anxiety around certain noises - especially vacuuming sounds, dinging alerts & similar household noises. Because of this anxiety, and with small children in our home, we feel she would do best in a calm, adult-only household. She has never shown aggression toward children, but a quieter environment without kids or other dogs would help her feel safe & settled. She loves playing fetch, being outdoors, and snuggling for a nap afterwards. We're looking for a home that can give her lots of love, patience and attention.

Story
Millie is a 4 ½ year old mini Australian Shepherd who is the embodiment of her breed. She has a lot of energy, always looking to run or play. She gets startled at sudden movements so she would be better with a family of adults and/or older children. The ideal placement for her would be a farm/house with a backyard, or someone who can take her on runs, or who can put some time into exercising and training her. She is certainly more of a playful dog, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t love belly rubs and cuddles! She also LOVES the snow and hikes, but still timid at the beach. Letting her personality shine through makes loving her so easy.We got Millie when she was about 9 weeks in 2021. When she was about 6 months, my partner wanted a second dog and took in another puppy. As puppy #2 got older, he became anxious, Millie started to become anxious as well. Now, my partner left, leaving me to care for both dogs alone, working full time 5 days a week, but I know Millie deserves the best!

Story
Meet Rocky, a laid-back, big-hearted guy who`s looking for the perfect companion. Rocky thrives in a calm, quiet home, ideally with an individual or couple who can offer him the peace he craves. While he`s tolerant of kids, he prefers to snuggle only with his bonded person. True to his cattle dog nature, Rocky is protective of his territory and takes his time warming up to newcomers. But with a few tasty treats, he’s quick to make new friends! Out in public, like at Lowes or the park, he’s friendly and allows people to pet him. He’s an easy-going guy who enjoys nice walks or short hikes and does well on a leash. However, he’s not a fan of other dogs and would prefer to be the only pup in the home. Rocky is food-driven, so with patience and training, he can overcome his dog-on-dog challenges.Rocky is fully house-trained, and he’ll always let you know when it`s time to go potty. He can be left home alone for long periods and is perfectly well-behaved—no chewing, no accidents. He’s also pretty good at following basic commands: sit, down, stay, and come. He doesn’t jump up on guests or try to dash out the door when it opens. While he can tolerate cats, small animals like squirrels aren’t his thing, and he won’t chase them. He enjoys playing tug-of-war and carrying around his stuffies (though he doesn’t chew them up!). Rocky also loves to bury bones and toys that he’s particularly fond of.He has a sensitivity to certain ingredients like corn, wheat, and soy, so he requires allergy-friendly food. He’s also afraid of thunderstorms, so a little extra care during storms will go a long way.Though Rocky hasn’t been crate trained, he seems to like the idea of having his own space. With his thick fur, he does require regular brushing, but professional grooming isn’t necessary. He`s not a fan of water or swimming, but he doesn’t bark excessively—just enough to alert when something’s up.If you’re ready for a loyal companion who thrives on a peaceful, loving environment, Rocky could be your guy!

Story
Meet Cooper, who comes to us from the Cabarrus County Shelter. Cooper is an 11-year-old, 60 lb., sweet and loving Australian Shepherd. Cooper is housetrained, crate trained walks good on a leash, and loves other dogs and people. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. While he is a bit hard of hearing, this vibrant boy radiates enthusiasm and youthful energy, embracing each new day with unbridled excitement and adventure. With every step, Cooper discovers joy in the simplest things - a walk with his best friend, a chance to sniff out hidden treasures, and the freedom to explore. When let loose in a yard, he continues to explore, until he discovers the perfect spot to unwind and contently rest. Cooper's striking appearance captures hearts, and his affectionate nature, coupled with a desire for human connection, makes him an ideal companion for someone seeking a devoted friend. His playful spirit belies his age, and his zest for life invites you to share in the joy of making every day unforgettable.
