He now happily greets his foster caregivers with puppy kisses and excited little barks! Toby came to All Starr Pet Rescue with his two littermates after their mother was found as a stray along the side of the road. He has spent his entire life being cared for and is now ready for a family of his own. Toby may need a little time to feel comfortable with someone new, but once he does, his affectionate side shines through. Could you be the family that helps Toby continue to blossom?

Irwin has been with us for a little over a year now. We have been working on some behavioral issues, getting him ready for a forever home. We believe that Irwin is ready to find a home with someone or a family experienced with Border Collies, Aussies or another herding breed. Irwin has lots of energy and needs to have a purpose, a job or anything that keeps him busy. Irwin would not do well with apartment living. He needs his space to be Irwin. Irwin is VERY selective on the dogs he likes and will not do well in a home with cats. If you are interested in meeting this handsome boy and speaking to our staff that has been working with him, please fill out an online application. This is Senna. She is a very sweet girl, she is 5 years old and LOVES to cuddle and be everywhere with you. I’m looking to rehome her as I have a toddler and it’s a bit too much going on with our current family dynamic. She would do best in a home with older children. She has grown up around cats and other dogs. I think she would prefer to be the only dog as she has shown dominant behavior at times with other dogs. However does great with cats. Looking to rehome her as soon as possible.

Sadee is an 11 month old Aussie mix and weighs 43 lbs. She may have Pointer or Lab mixed in there too. She was rescued from the Mercer County Pound and is now in foster care. Sadee is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. She does like to follow you around to be close and is an active girl. So far Sadee seems to be housetrained and walks well on a leash. Sadee has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is on heartworm/flea prevention. Hello future friends, my name is Thistle!I’m a tiny Australian Shepherd mix, probably only about a year old, and I’m still learning that the world isn’t quite as scary as I once thought. I came to FDHS as a stray after being found by our local Dog Warden. I arrived in pretty rough shape, with patches of fur missing and the rest covered in fleas and debris. I was terrified of people at first, but after a few days, the humans here finally earned my trust and I even got a much needed bath!I’m still a shy girl, especially around new people and situations. I think I need someone who understands that slow and steady is the way to my heart. Once I trust you, I’m an entirely different dog. I LOVE being snuggled and held, and I want to be glued right to my favorite human’s side. Belly rubs and yummy treats are also helping me realize that these two legged creatures might actually be pretty awesome.I’ve shown interest in other animals and would likely enjoy having some furry friends. I’m looking for someone patient and kind who is willing to give me the time I need to blossom. Rescue experience would be wonderful, but all you really need is a little patience, a lot of love and the willingness to let me find my confidence. I promise, once I do, you’ll have one very loving little shadow by your side.
