Meet Pepper!Pepper is a 7 year old Australian Shepherd who recently came to FDHS with her best friend Ginger (also available) after their previous owner could no longer care for them. Pepper is having a tough time settling into the busy shelter environment and is hoping to find a peaceful place to land soon.She does best in calm, predictable spaces and would be happiest in a home without young children or lots of noise. Pepper prefers quieter, low-key dogs, has not lived with cats, and can be uneasy around men. With time and patience, she has already started to warm up to our male kennel attendants.Pepper is an incredibly smart girl and was used to regular grooming in her last home. With a steady routine, reassurance, and a little space to decompress, she’ll show you just how wonderful she is.She would love nothing more than a cozy home and someone to love her!**Spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs 50 lbs**

Story
This is Izzy. She is an Aussie mix. Roughly 6 years old. Neutered and up to date on vaccines. We got Izzy for my mom about 5 years ago from a shelter. Izzy came with some anxiety and fear. She does not like storms or loud noises. Sometimes she doesn't even like going outside, so a quiet neighborhood or country home would be best. She is potty trained but has had accidents in the house due to the anxiety. She gets along well with my male and female great danes, however there has been a handful of times over the last few years Izzy and my female have had a spat. Other than that they all play well. She is a very sweet girl and loves to have her belly rubbed. Some days she is very lazy and others very active. She has never lived in a house with a young child. Has been around cats and does well with them. She HAS to have a fenced in yard. She loves being brushed and will need to be kept up on grooming but hates baths. She is looking for her forever home!
