Jessi is a young Aussie mix that came to us as a stray. At about 4 months old she is all puppy! She's full of energy, running circles around us in the play yards, trying to make friends through the fence and jumping up to give love nips. She got to meet with some other dogs recently and she stayed very clam and let them set the rules. It seems like an older doggy sibling might be a great thing for this energetic pup. If your home or farm are ready for this wonderful handful of pup submit an application or come meet with her.

Meet Barbeque, better known around here as Barb! Barb is a big, hunky, handsome Australian Shepherd who is 100% living up to his name. He’s got a little extra meat on the bones right now, so he’s currently working on his dream bod with the help of our team. But truthfully, Barb is already pretty dang perfect just the way he is. He has quickly become a HUGE fan favorite around FDHS thanks to his sweet, easygoing personality and impeccable manners. He keeps a spotless kennel, is polite on leash, behaves himself in the feed area. This guy is really the whole package and then some!We were shocked when Barbeque came to us as a stray and was never reclaimed by his previous family. We estimate him to be around 7 to 8 years old, but without knowing his history, we don’t know if he has ever lived with children or cats. He has been polite but mostly indifferent toward the other dogs here at the shelter.Barb is a low-key kind of guy. He’s looking for a comfy couch, a peaceful home, some *healthy* meals, and someone who will appreciate having such a good boy by their side for his golden years.**Neutered, heartworm negative, scheduled to be microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs 78 lbs**

Story
Maverick just turned four in June. He loves to cuddle, play fetch, and run! He was Amish bred and we got him when he was 12 weeks old. As he got older he became very reactive and we have worked with numerous trainers and it has helped a little bit. We are looking to rehome him due to me just having a baby and it is not going well at all, and we’ve been trying to make it work. He is reactive based by fear (what the trainer has explained to us). He loves the attention of people if he knows you but is a completely different dog if he doesn’t know the person. We just want to find the perfect home for him to have the attention, space to run, and loving home.
