Story
Silas was rescued at 12 weeks of age. He is very affectionate and loves to cuddle and give kisses. He does well with houstraining if he is walked every couple of hours. His birthdate is 5/18/2022. He started agility training in the back yard and caught on to a couple of things. He is very intelligent. He loves to play in his kiddie pool when the weather is nice outside. Silas does need a lot attention as aussies are very smart and need a job to do. He loves puzzle toys He quickly becomes someone's friend after they greet him with a treat. As a herding dog, he does not do well with cats or other small animals as he thinks of them as a job to chase. He does do well with other dogs. Silas needs a new home as his current mom has been diagnosed with serious health conditions and is no longer capable of caring for a dog with high energy. He will go home with a bag of food and his favorite toys.

Story
This spotted cutie is Waylon!Waylon was recently surrendered from a multi-dog household after his previous family could no longer care for him. He is a friendly, energetic pup who is looking for an active home ready to keep both his brain and body busy. Waylon has been an absolute angel with our staff and has been easy to handle. He can be a little anxious when meeting new people, but offer him a treat and you’ll quickly become his new best friend.Despite his large size, Waylon is surprisingly well-mannered on leash and has done excellent in a securely fenced area. He is probably not a good candidate for a tie-out. Waylon is still working on house-training, but he is young, smart, and very eager to please, making him a great candidate for continued training. We do not know if Waylon has experience with cats or young children, but given his friendly nature, we believe he could do well with proper introductions.Waylon is available for immediate adoption and ready to find a family that can keep up with his fun-loving, adventurous spirit!

Story
☀️ Meet Sunny! ☀️Sunny is a 3½-year-old mixed breed who lives up to her name in every way. She’s delightfully fat and sassy, proudly rocking her curves, and firmly believes belly rubs are a basic human responsibility. This easy-going girl is as friendly as they come. Sunny gets along great with cats, dogs, and kids, making her a wonderful fit for just about any family. She’s laid-back, happy to go with the flow, and always ready to make a new best friend. One of Sunny’s favorite things? Talking to people. She’s got plenty to say and loves being part of the conversation—whether it’s greeting you at the door, asking for snacks, or reminding you it’s belly-rub o’clock. If you’re looking for a sweet, social, lovable chunk of sunshine to brighten your days, Sunny is ready to move in and steal your couch (and your heart). ☀️🐾More information? Story
Abelia is the perfect dog. Loving, smart, beautiful, cuddly, stays with her person, active but not hyper, medium sized, adult but still young, great with dogs of all sizes, great with cats and kittens, walks well on the leash, does well in a crate, not a barker. She was dumped with another dog and a local resident reached out for help so the dogs wouldn't starve or get hit by a car. They are now safe at the rescue. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tacoma, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection. Too young for a heartworm test.
