Story
Looking for a good home for our dog maverick. He is 4 years old. He does not have any shots as we wanted to see how he would do before we got him in with our vet. He isn’t neutered. He needs someone who is willing to train him and someone who will give home love and attention. We have another dog and he is okay around her but he does growl when he eats if anyone or anything is by him. He is okay with our children but due to the growling we can’t risk him biting one of our children if they happen to go by him while he’s eating (one is a toddler and doesn’t understand). He is not a bad dog by no means just needs some training. We have had to make the hard decision to find him a better home where he can get what he needs. We did resort to him staying in our garage until we can find a good home for him. We are not asking for any money just a loving person to take him in before we resort to potentially having him put down.

Story
Piper is a sweet and highly energetic Australian shepherd. She loves people, other dogs, is good with our barn cats. She is good with children but she doesn’t realize her own size and will run straight into my 1 year old and knock him down. She needs a farm or large fenced in yard to play. She would spend hours outside and I feel she needs a job or something to do that we simply cannot provide. She is vocal about what she wants but she does have her calm hours of resting and snuggling. If she is one on one she is more go with the flow, but we have a big family so she does not sit still. She does go in a kennel at night. She is potty trained for the most part, unless she isn’t being let outside consistently. We are hoping to find someone who will give her proper training and love like she deserves!

Story
He is a super loving and energetic dog. He loves attention, he hasn’t been around another dog in about two years so I don’t know his reaction towards them now that he is grown. He gets along well with cats and children but his energy can be a bit much for them. He recently has been crated due to moving and other pets not getting along with him, he is crate trained. He will need work with being told no and personal space. Due to his current situation he has a lot of pent up energy and will need to be given time to adjust to a new house.

Story
Brooklyn is a 1yr old spayed female Mini Aussie. She weighs 26lbs. Brooklyn was picked up as a stray and was never reclaimed by her owner. She is a great dog. She is typical Aussie and shows some herding behaviors. She is very intelligent and willing to learn. She is treat motivated . Her ideal home would be someone with Aussie experience. She appears to be house trained but I do have doggy doors and she doesn't have to ask or wait to go outside. She has been great with children and other dogs. She was a bit to interested in my cat so I am thinking she might not be good with cats. She is up to date on shots and wormed. She is already spayed. The adoption fee is $400. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419- 591-6621 . When emailing please include information about you and your family including other pets.

Story
Bindi is a 4 year and 10 month old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix weighing 36 pounds. She came to the shelter as an owner surrender due to not being able to provide the time and attention she needs. Potential adopters required to understand breed specific needs. Bindi is a high energy dog and needs an active family, she will not do well if left alone for any period of time. Bindi can be timid with strangers, letting her approach you is best. Once she knows you, she's a very sweet girl and loves belly rubs. Bindi is very smart, quick to listen to commands, she's been through puppy training and basic obedience classes. She loves to be outside and go on adventures, good at parks. She LOVES to play fetch, a tennis ball is her favorite toy. If she does not have a daily outlet for her energy and need to "work" or is left alone she becomes very anxious. When she becomes bored she gets herself into trouble. She is good but selective with other dogs, another dog in the home may help her thrive, she can resource guard with her toys and other dogs-supervision needed at all times with toys. Good with children over 12 who will understand her boundaries. Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $20.75. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! Story
We got Roscoe when he was just 12 weeks old and he has been raised around babies since we got him. He is great with kids and wants nothing more than to be snuggled all day and he can handle the kids rough housing and doesn’t get aggressive one bit! He is now 2 years old and is so smart, energetic, loving, protective, and is an all around sweetheart! In a new home I’m looking for a family that has time to give him the attention he deserves and the space for him to run and get all his energy out. It kills me to do this because I love him like he’s one of my kids but I have run out of time to give him all the love and attention he deserves on top of giving my kids all the love and attention they deserve!
