Story
Bindi is a 3-year-9-month old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix weighing 35 pounds. She came to the shelter as an owner surrender due to not being able to provide the time and attention she needs. Potential adopters required to understand breed specific needs. Bindi is a high energy dog and needs an active family, she will not do well if left alone for any period of time. Bindi can be timid with strangers, letting her approach you is best. Once she knows you, she's a very sweet girl and loves belly rubs. Bindi is very smart, quick to listen to commands, she's been through puppy training and basic obedience classes. She loves to be outside and go on adventures, good at parks. She LOVES to play fetch, a tennis ball is her favorite toy. If she does not have a daily outlet for her energy and need to "work" or is left alone she becomes very anxious. When she becomes bored she gets herself into trouble. She is good with other dogs, another dog in the home may help her thrive. Good with children over 12 who will understand her boundaries. Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $20.75. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! Story
Princess is a 5yr old Mini Aussie. She currently weighs about 45 lbs but is on a diet. A good weight would be 35 lbs. Princess is a smart and sweet girl. She was surrender to us when her owner could no longer care for her. She is a bit unhappy and stressed here at the rescue and is longing for a quieter life. She would love an adult home with someone who wants to be her best friend. She loves her people and will try hard to please you. She loves her toys and will entertain herself with them. She would love to have a fenced yard or someone who will take her on adventures. She is pretty well behaved but can be stubborn too. She does okay with other dogs but she can be jealous of them. She would prefer being the only dog. She is good with older children but little kids make her nervous. She is not good with indoor cats. If you are looking for a loving and devoted companion and would also be willing to meet her exercise needs then Princess may be the girl for you. She has a lot to offer to her forever home. She is house trained. She is up to date on shots and wormed. She is heartworm negative. She is already spayed. The adoption fee is $400. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419- 591-6621 . When emailing please include information about you and your family including other pets.

Story
Morgan is a 16mth old neutered male Aussie. He weighs 55lbs. Morgan came to us when his owners ended their marriage. Neither owner had a place for him. Morgan is a gorgeous boy with so much love to give. He could use a few better manners but he is a smart boy and will catch on quickly. He loves romping with the other dogs here at the rescue and plays nice with them. He has moderate energy and will require daily exercise. He should adapt quickly in his forever home. He is house trained. He has done well with other dogs and children. He is curious with my cat but hasn't tried to harm her. He is up to date on shots and wormed. He is already neutered. The adoption fee is $400. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419-591-6621 . Story
Ollie is very much like any Aussie. He needs space to run, has loads of energy and will be his best with something to challenge him, he’s ridiculously smart. Personally he is extremely affectionate, will push boundaries, and absolutely loves to play with other dogs, and will chase cats to play because he just can’t seem to get that they aren’t dogs too. I do not have a fenced in space, or the ability to give him all he needs. I took him in to get him out of an apt situation and resolve some behavioral issues from that. He’ll be amazing for the right family/person.

Story
Elsa is a 5 year old Border Collie mix weighing 54 pounds who came to the shelter as a stray so her history is unknown. Elsa is a smart, sweet and affectionate girl, you couldn't ask for a more loyal companion! She is very shy with new people, multiple visits to the shelter needed for her to come out of her shell. Once she gets to know you her personality really shines! She is high energy, she loves walks, playing fetch and cuddles with her person. She LOVES playing with balls and is good on a leash. Knows commands sit, shake, laydown & roll over. Her breed needs an active lifestyle such as running, hiking, biking or walking regularly. Her personality is as big as her heart! She came to us with an ear and skin infection, she has been seen and treated by a veterinarian and is currently on Apoquel for suspected allergies which should continue in her new home along with a special diet. She is also on Prozac for her anxiety while here at the shelter, separation anxiety is suspected. She will not thrive in a home where she is left alone for hours at a time. Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $20.75.
