Story
Tilly is a beautiful, high-energy girl who has been part of our family since she was just 8 weeks old (born May 2022). At home, she’s a sweet and loving dog. She is affectionate, playful, and always up for a game of fetch or tug-of-war. While she loves going on walks, she’s definitely a homebody. Tilly does best with her own space and a calm, predictable routine, so she would be happiest as the only pet in a home without small children. Tilly is looking for a patient, loving owner who has time for indoor play and will truly appreciate her loyal, devoted nature. If you’re searching for a one-of-a-kind companion to fill your home with love, Tilly would love to meet you.

Story
Age: 3-4 years, Australian shepherd corgi mix. *Update* After speaking with multiple resources. Pepper requires someone with full understanding and patience, as she nipped at the few people she has met for a potential rehome. Pepper would need a child free, adult only home, as she has been very sheltered and not exposed to many people. She DOES NOT have a history of bitting anyone* Pepper is a extremely timid and shy around new people. Once she gets to know you she is very affectionate and playful, likes to hold hands, and even help take your socks off! She is very agile and fast, with a high prey drive (loves squirrel chasing) She would need a fenced yard. She has had some issues with with smaller dogs but does well with dogs of similar size. She is house and crate trained, prefers to eat in her crate. We are offering a no adopt fee and can provide her crate too.

Story
What Benny loves: Running, playing, long walks on a leash, stuffed animals and sleeping right next to his person or other dogs. Hasn’t met a dog, he doesn’t like. He seems to be interested in water as he plays on our pool cover and tries to get in the neighbourhood pond. What Benny doesn’t like: Loud noises, quick movements, Not getting attention. He’s still somewhat shy. Would be BEST with no small children as he tends to throw his weight around. He’s been around several of our family dogs from 10-70 lbs and gets along famously with all. He sleeps in a large crate at night, now that he’s learned our routine and we have learned his routine. He is 100% reliable on being housebroken. (In my opinion) If interested in me, contact my foster mom at: howell.libby09@gmail.com

Story
Ever wanted a dog that’s a little too pretty for her own good? Meet Arwen, the living, breathing Disney princess with a sprinkle of mischief. She’s a professional velcro dog with a craving for snuggles, attention, and belly rubs. But only when she asks of course (which is often) she’s a drama queen who makes the rules, and vocalizes them! Pros: Smart and food motivated Dog friendly A perfect mix of couch potato and adventure companion Cons: She is having some leash reactivity She is not a fan of her crate She is still going through adolescence and is working on boundaries/structure Due to her main character energy, she would thrive as the only dog in a home. Not a requirement, just a princessy request! Older kids (12+) are best! She loves a playmate, maybe chomping on a Lego or two, but ultimately she needs a dog savvy sibling who respects her space when she’s having “me time” or beauty rest. Any other time? Let’s play! Arwen’s backstory is heartbreaking. Dumped with her puppy at a young age. She’s ready to rewrite her story though, and finally learn how to be a dog herself! Are you the one to help her gain confidence one supermodel walk at a time?

Story
Hi, this is Sammy. My foster mom also calls me Samuel, SamSam, Samwise, and Little Fruit Bat Baby (moms are so embarrassing). I don’t remember much about my life before I came to this place called a foster home. I think somebody loved me once, but somehow I ended up on my own in the big scary world. I was starving and terrified and covered with icky bugs. Some nice people took me to the shelter but I was so afraid of all the noise, and of the people trying to help me. I didn’t know how to make friends and act friendly like the other dogs. Nobody came looking for me and I almost didn’t make it out of that place. Luckily I ended up in a foster program. My mom says I have really come out of my shell since I came here. I adore my people and I can’t get enough pets and love. I think I’m pretty loyal once I love you and I give my whole heart to the ones I love. I’m so much more confident now that I have figured out the routine here, but I’m still a little scared of new people and places, and sometimes I bark and act tough because I don’t want them to see I’m afraid. Once I meet you and see it’s ok I warm up pretty quick. If you give me a treat I think you must be nice! Mom says I need slow introductions and lots of patience when doing new things. I haven’t been around many kids and none that are very young. I don’t think I would like a home with them because they run and make a lot of noise and it scares me. Sometimes I think when they run I should run too and bark at them. I could probably learn how to like kids more but Mom thinks I have some herder tendencies and might need some training to be sure I know how to act around them. I really like other dogs. I love to play with my doggie housemates. Even if one is kind of cranky to me I still keep trying to be friends. I have met a lot of new dog friends on play dates and I have gotten along with all of them. Having dog friends really helps me feel comfortable and secure. A dog park may be too overwhelming for me though. There are kitties here and I like them too. I am pretty careful with the confident ones who stand their ground and bop my nose if I get too enthusiastic, but I sometimes forget to be gentle and chase the one who runs from me. I get a little too playful when I catch him and I forget I’m so big. Mom reminds me I can’t play so rough, but I maybe should not have cats in my new home. I am pretty much house-trained and I’m working on using the potty bells to tell mom I need to go out. At night I sleep in mom’s bedroom and I don’t have any accidents. During the day when mom is gone I am in a kennel. I don’t really like it and I think I’m scared to be alone and that someone might not come back so I bark and howl sometimes. Mom got some medicine to help me and I’m starting to feel better and not be so sad when I’m alone. I do need a heavy duty metal crate to stay safe because I can damage the plastic and lighter metal ones. I can climb a chain link fence so I need a secure wood fence. I walk pretty good on a leash and I have a cute little prance when we are going somewhere fun. I ride well in the car and jump in and out in my own. I wasn’t sure about playing with toys at first but I have decided I really like squeaky toys and things I can chew on. I have to be careful I don’t confuse shoes lying out with toys! I listen well and have learned to sit and to shake. I will need a home with a fence, as I have too much energy that walks alone won't get out my energy. I need to be able to romp around in a yard! My mom says I am a total love bug once I get to know someone. I like to be in the same room as my person (bathrooms included!) and I sleep at her feet when she’s working. I think I’m a lap dog even though I’m 35 pounds l, but lying next to mom on the couch is great too. I hope I can find my new home with a family that loves me. My ideal home would include: Other nice dogs Fenced Yard No cats or very confident cats Older children Someone who is home a lot or works from home Lots of patience and positive reinforcement Looking forward to meeting you or doing a meet and greet! Love, Sammy.
